Quentin Richardson styling on setAs part of our trip to Las Vegas with the Jordan Brand, we’re able to catch up with each of their athletes. Here are 10 things straight from Quentin Richardson…
1. To be hand picked my Michael Jordan to be a member of Brand Jordan is an honor. I’m a Chicago native, so I watched MJ build his legacy in the city I was born and raised in. I idolized him when I was younger. It’s an honor.
2. My favorite Air Jordans of all time are the 11s. To this day I have a pair I have never worn. They’re still fresh in the box.
3. Being here in Vegas for the shoot is a lot of fun. I get to chop it up with the other guys, talk crap, and just have fun. During the season we don’t get to really kick it with each other like that.
4. When I come here to Vegas I do a little gambling. I’m not a big gambler but I’ll do it a little. I really like to just enjoy the weather and kick it.
5. The last big purchase I made was buying some real estate in Chicago. When you buy real estate it is an investment for the future. I’m from Chicago that is why I chose to purchase land there.
6. I like going to the movies a lot. The last movie I saw was Transformers. I actually saw it three times. It was hot.
7. I listen to a lot of music. Usually on Tuesdays I’ll go on ITunes and buy whatever catches my eye. I have a lot of music on my Ipod. If something looks good, I’ll buy it. My favorite song of the summer has to be UGK and Outkast’s International Player.
Q chillin in wardrobe8. When it comes to my own style, I like a more grown look. I am a little older now so I try to dress that way. I am more of a casual type guy. Khaki shorts, a little linen…you know? I still wear Air Force 1s…but I try to say away from the colored tees.
9. The Knicks are going to continuously improve. All we need is team cohesion. We have Zach Randolph now so he and Eddy have to get their touches. I’m looking forward to next season. I think we can make the playoffs and do some damage.
10. I love my job. Some people lose motivation to play basketball. I love this game. If I had a regular job I still would play basketball.

I wish the season started tomorrow. My Knicks will prove all the nay-sayers wrong once and for all. Our starting 5 is looking real strong.

Isiah is a genuis in young talent. He has broken the bank 10 times over AT LEAST in terms of signing veteran free agents. The Knicks are at least 2 or 3 years away from making some serious noise. As long as they cut their losses with some of the pathetic contracts and focus on the awesome young talent they have (Lee, Balkman, Nate, Nichols, etc) then they will be on the right track. The vets like Q and Steph and Zach should be used to keep us respectable, but the dead weight like Drunk Jerome and Useless Jeffries should be left to ride off into the sunset and be forever forgetten….
