Mike Bibby under watchful eyesDay Two of the Jordan Brand shoot in Vegas saw all of the players being photographed in suits for a Vanity Fair-style spread. Shot individually, each player will be digitally placed into one larger shot later on down the road. For what? We can’t tell you what the Jordan crew is planning, but it will be sick.
Q was feeling his suit (and accessories) so much that the rental place might be short a hat. “Ya’ll might not get this hat back!” Q shouted while checking himself out in a mirror. Chris Paul, in an all-white suit and white tie, liked his outfit so much that he asked if he could keep the whole thing. We even spotted him outside in the Vegas 100 degree-plus heat in the full getup.
Today the Hardwood Suite was also set up to shoot the players in training segments. Ray Allen and Chris Paul were hitting the weights hard while photographers and videographers recorded their every move. If you didn’t know, Ray is a beast in the weight room. Shuttlesworth strikes you as being more slender than jacked, but the dude is ripped up. Not an ounce of fat on the guy.
We were hanging out in the locker room with Ray before his training shoot when he and Michael Finley were joking around about how they’ve been affiliated with Jordan Brand since 1975.
Rip’s flixSeen loungin’ around and enjoying himself was Joe Johnson. His NBA 2K game is serious, but then again, all the guys claim to be unstoppable. Heated battles went down in the Green Room today. The games were so intense, you could hear the guys talking smack from down the hall.
The final part of the day saw Carmelo Anthony being shot. We got to talk to him for a bit about his new signature shoe, the Melo M4. We’re not just saying this because the Jordan Crew invited us out here – but Melo’s shoe is unbelievable. Definitely one of the best we’ve seen in a long time and we’ll make sure you see it as soon as possible …

Ha! It was nothing big. They put me up in a SICK bungalow because my room wasn’t quite ready. The bungalow was two floors, had about 7 plasma screens, and its own pool!
