Charles Jones (far right) and TNP.Every now and then we have some special guests pop into the Dime office. Earlier today we got a visit from ex-NBA and Long Island University baller Charles Jones and some of the crew from Take No Prisoners (TNP), the squad who won the Nike Tournament of Champions we put on a few weeks ago. Jones, along with TNP coaches “Dog” Taylor and Kendu and crew dropped by to say what’s up and do some interviews with Bounce.
Some of you might not remember Jones. He led the country in scoring twice at LIU back in the ’90s, putting up close to 30 points a night while playing alongside another NYC playground star, Richie Parker. He played a couple years in the League with the Clippers and Bulls, and since then has been tearing it up in a bunch of overseas leagues and playgrounds all over the Big Apple.
