Mohr on Kobe
Jay MohrOver on our partner site, FoxSports.com, Jay Mohr weighs in on the Kobe saga. You gotta love a blog that rips Kobe, compares Lamar Odom and Zydrunas Ilgauskas and refers to Phil Jackson as “Phillip” all in one post.

For the second day in a row, I’m telling somebody…..
Lakers did NOT lose the Shaq trade.
They pee’d away Caron Butler, but they didn’t lose the trade. Caron and Odom was plenty in return considering they are so much younger than Shaq. And the Lakers got a giant expiring contract in Brian Grant and a late 1st rounder.
Who would you rather have on your team right now?
Odom and Butler
or
Shaq
It’s door #1 and it will stay that way for another 8 years until they retire.

The comparison of Odom and Big Z was atrocious. Downright pathetic! Mohr forgot to mention that Lebron is in the Leastern Conference. He should think before he does something. Go back to making your straight-to-dvd movies!!!

I couldn’t tell if Mohr was trying to be sarcastic when he wrote that article. What makes it especially difficult to figure out his slant is the fact he hasn’t been funny since the 90s.

Stop the Kobe Bashing!
1. Is it his fault Lakers Management was silly enough to trade Shaq for Lamar Odom and Caron Butler(Brian Grant doesn’t count).
2. Lebron is playing in the East. Enough said.(Suns, Spurs, Mavericks, Rockets etc….)
You want to blame Kobe, blame his talent and competitve nature for making a lottery team a 8-7 spot playoff team. The lakers have drafted terribly in recent years and have been absent in free agency. No one can win with this team. Maybe he was selfish and unappreciative of what he had with Shaq but Lakers Management solely responsible for their lack of success.

Victor,
How is Bynum, Walton, Turiaf and Farmar bad drafting? Now they have Javaris too. That team is very talented. With Caron Butler, they could get farther. You think broke-down-Shaq wouldn’t be a big worry for all Lakers fans at this point? I think the fans would think more about winning than about how much they love the big lug. Kobe mighta been unappreciative, but if Shaq no longer thinks it was Kobe’s fault, then I believe him.
As far as free agency, Radmanovic seemed like a smart move at the time. He still might come around.

Oh yea, and Derek Fisher as a free agent now.

Who da f*** cares what Jay Mohr thinks? Last time I saw him he was doing those commercials where he was the “agent” for a can of Pepsi.
