About a month ago, our friends at Converse showed us a video they’d been working on with Dwyane Wade. The video was created around the love letter Dwyane wrote to the game of basketball that eventually inspired the WADE 3 ad campaign you’ve been seeing for the past few weeks. The video has since shown up on YouTube; check it out below …
We wish you could see it on a big-ass flat screen HD TV like we did at the Converse Open Gym launch in Miami. Chills. The YouTube version doesn’t quite do it justice…

D-wade is AMAZING……. people are sleeping. Sure the Heat struggled without him, but wouldnt any team without their best player? Almost every single one would, whether its Cleveland without Lebron, or LA without Kobe, Dallas without Dirk, SA without Duncan, etc. etc…….. point is that this is Miami’s best and deepest roster with Shaq in town besides their 05/06 championship roster. They have a good pointguard, the best shooting guard in the NBA in Wade (only one on that level is Kobe), a good SF and 3rd option in Davis (great added athleticism that was needed), a good power forward in haslem, a great motivated center in shaq with a great bakcup center in Zo and a very good veteran/youth mix of a solid bench. Plus one of the best coaches in the league. People are forgetting just how good Dwyane Wade is allaround. They were in to the wire of nearly every game, with Wade to close out games they would have won nearly all of them. Shaq is thinner than he has looked in years, and after the wakeup calls theyve been through from last seasons 40 point loss in the opener to the first round sweep, and now the 1-8 start to the season further humbling them: They are taking the season very very very seriously and have their hunger back……. by the end of the season the 4 elite teams of the East (all 50 game winners, Boston 60 game winner) will be Orlando, Boston, Detroit and Miami, with 4 other very solid teams in Toronto, New Jersey, Cleveland and Washington….. Miami is one of the best teams and you will see that by the time the season is over. They are for real, people are forgetting what this team has.
