Cavs Fans Love This

This was buried at the very end of Branson Wright’s column in today’s Cleveland Plain-Dealer.

Holdout:

If and whenever the Cavs sign holdout Anderson Varejao, a league source said the Cavs will have another issue with which to deal.

While Sasha Pavlovic worked out twice a day during his holdout, Varejao apparently is out of shape and enjoying his extended vacation in Brazil.

A dude who averages six and six and is holding out for an astounding amount of money is also getting fat while your team is 1-2? If you’re a Cavs fan, does this drive you crazy? Or do just forget about him and move on?

  2. Captain America says:

    Flush this plump turd

  3. Gee says:

The Cavs would be stupid to take dude period. If anything sign and trade the bum for another bum that is at least in shape lol. He is showing he basically doesn’t want to really play so get something for him and send him on. The only thing is I doubt any other team will want him so you basically prolly just gone have to cut him. The nerve.

Once he gets cut he can be on the biggest loser and be that for real!

  4. ngoogs says:

    move onnnn

    this niggas trippin

  5. Brown says:

I’m sure they could at least get something for him. If he doesn’t want to stay in shape, trade him and let another team deal with his overinflated sense of self value. He’s a good rotation guy but not a starter.

  6. sans says:

Being a Cleveland sports fan, disappointment rolls off my back. Varejao will get 6 per year unless a sign-and-trade is arranged. He’s restricted and he won’t take any Cav offers. You’d think not getting anyone else, in the world, let alone in the NBA, that will offer him the contract that he is asking for would let him know that he is not there yet. Greece ain’t even crazy about him.

  7. Teddy says:

Sounds like a Antoine Walker situation…drop his ass n save money.

  8. giacomo says:

cleveland is 100% right, varejao is a good player and an important piece of the team but he isnt worth what he is asking.

good work cleveland, its not worth gettin rid of future cap flexibility for a lazy scrub like that.

to varejao- you should be ashamed of yourself, your in one of the most desirable occupations in the world, and you are letting your fans, and teammates down by being greedy. you can say what you want about taking money off millionaire owners, but you do not anywhere near deserve what you are asking. go play in europe. jackass

  9. Coldchain says:

Tell Varaejo to call up Beno Udrich and ask him what it’s like going from playing for a winning team to playing for a crap team. Take a reasonable amount of money ($5-6 mill) and get your no-scoring ass on the court. You should be paying the Cavs money for that BS you threw up in Game 3 of the Finals.

  10. Amar says:

cavs franchise deserves this for trying to low ball Carlos Boozer and suggesting that he’s a role player, not the 30-10 beast that he so obviously is . . .

  11. rob stewart says:

This is absolutely ridiculous. This guy should be happy to get 2 mil for his services. The Cavs should just pick up Webber, Tractor Traylor, and Shawn Kemp. Whatever happened to Keon Clark or Kevin Willis?
