Daily Fantasy
As always, leave your fantasy hoops questions in the comments section and I will do my best to answer them all…
Jason Maxiell - 16 minutes. 6 fouls. Probably not the numbers you were hoping from Maxiell, who actually started the game. If he can get 30 minutes he can board like a madman and block shots. Usually it’s not his fault he doesn’t get the time though. Last night it was.
Juan Carlos Navarro – Before the last two games, Navarro hadn’t played more than 22 minutes in a game this season. The last two? 32 and 34. He’s also produced in those games, once hitting 8 threes and the other adding 14 points, 4 assists, and 4 boards. He should be picked up and is a nice start this week.
Stro Show - Yes the Strow Show is making the list. Darko is out with a jammed thumb, and although Navarro is getting the starting nod, with Gasol moving to the center spot, Stro’s minutes are up and he has blocked 2 shots in each of his last 2 games. If you own Darko, Stro Show isn’t an awful start this week.
Jordan Farmar - The Lakers are playing solid basketball and Jordan Farmar’s confidence in the offense seems to be growing to a point where he needs to be considered.
The Warriors - It’s really crazy how many people could or do have value on the Warriors. With Stephen Jackson back (he dropped 17 last night), the Warriors have so many guys that need minutes. Last night Kelenna Azubuike still got 30 minutes and dropped 16. With 4 games this week, Azubuike is a somewhat safe start, especially if you need 3′s. I’d leave Monta Ellis and Matt Barnes on the bench. And although he’s dealing with hand injuries, Matt Barnes is actually out for a game or two while he tends to his sick grandmother.
Beno Udrih - Being a Celtics fan, I was a little disappointed that Beantown didn’t grab Udrih when the Spurs gave up on him. Now he’s starting for the Kings and playing very well. He’s of course keeping the spot warm for Mike Bibby, but he’s a nice medium term solution and should be owned in all leagues.
Luis Scola - Two games in a row with more than 30 minutes of tick. He’s clearly finding his role in the offense (he made 10 field goals in both games). Most fantasy leagues are relatively shallow in forwards, so Scola is an intriguing pick up right now.

Bynum might be a good pick-up at center with Kwame out for a few games. He’s averaging 10.4/9.7/1.2 right now (with good percentages) in only 24 minutes.

Doc…i’ve been offered a trade…give up andre iguodala and get ray allen in return. Who’s getting the better end of this deal?
November 19th, 2007 at 1:09 pm
The Fantasy Doctor says:
Trust, is it a keeper league? I don’t hate the deal. You get better at free throw percentage, points, and threes.
Penske1, I still like Bynum and his fantasy potential. I hate how Phil Jackson manages his centers though.

The Fantasy Doctor says:
Snoop, Ray has a little cold shooting streak and everyone wants to trade him? totally depends on what you need. You need threes and it’s a great deal. Ray is a higher rated player right now but it’s close.

ok, so I’ve asked around on NBA.com forums and got no responses.. i’ve been offered Ginobili, Camby, and Arenas for KG and JRich.. not a huge fan of giving up KG, especially considering Gil’s balky knee..but Camby was relatively healthy last year and Manu is tearing it up.. Fair trade? Fantasy Doc, any ideas?
My lineup:
PG:Rondo,Blake
SG:BenGordon,Josh Smith
SF:Battier,Artest
PF:KG,GWallace
C:AlJeff,Collison,&Bargnani
Util/Bnch:Damien Wilkins,Anthony Parker,Ricky Davis,&Mike James
Also looking to drop James and pick up either:Azubuike,Antoine Wright, Eddie House,Cassell,Theo Ratliff, or Kendrick Perkins..
Help?

hey doc,
i have an issue with my team. i just made a big trade i got iggy and ron ron and gave up lamarcus and maggette. a real good deal for me, but it leaves me stacked at the sg/sf position and a power froward short. other than those two i have j-smoove, Rich Jefferson, Rudy, hedo….basically one too many. but my question is do you think that Josh smith or hedo will qualify as a power forward soon? im in a yahoo points league. if not should i trade one? i have david west for iggy on the table….
thanks
