Michael Beast-ly
Michael Beasley. Photo. Courtesy of adidasMichael Beasley is going to be a monster at Kansas State. In a scrimmage against Marquette last week, Beasley torched the Golden Eagles for 42 points and 12 rebounds. Tom Crean remarked on this performance as “efficient.” (By the way, is there any greater compliment than the one-word summation from the opposing coach? )
He followed that up with a 35-point, 14-rebound explosion in an exhibition on Saturday in a 95-59 win over Fort Hays State. At one point, Beasley scored 10 consecutive points for the Wildcats during a four-minute span.
KState officially opens their season this Friday, November 9th against Sacramento State.

Beasly doesn’t make sense with his talent. I hope he always stays out of trouble and just keeps balling. He is a pleasure to watch. I so wish he would have went to G-Town! Ohhh….. My….. Goshhhh would they be crushin dudes!

So many so-called experts are predicting that Tyler Hansbrough will end up with National POY honors. The guys at ESPN choose O.J. Mayo if they don’t pick Hansbrough. I said it here first, the Big 12 will get their second straight National POY with this kid right here.

Michael beasly is going to kill this year just like how Kevin Durant Did in the Big 12 he’s going to be right up there with Michael fizer and Durant with all time scorers in the big 12

I don’t know … any dude that chooses K-State over all the other top teams recruiting him is a red flag for me. Is he afraid to share the spotlight at a place like Kansas or Duke or UNC? And it’s not like dude is from Kansas or anything, so it’s not a hometown pick. Beasley is nice, don’t get me wrong, but I wonder about where his head is at.

Coldchain –
At first I thought the same thing but after reading more about Bill Walker, I think that these guys bought into Bob Huggins’ pitch about doing something special. Beasley is not the kind of kid who needs to feel a connection to the tradition of a Tobacco Road ACC school. He wants to blaze his own trail. He’s going to do that in Manhattan.

mike chose k state because he always wanted to play for bob huggins. then when huggins left he chose to stay instead of dippin outta town like huggins did. he should be admired for that not criticized.

Wow, what a rip-off Huggs left! It would be awesome if Beasly stayed next year and played for the Wildcats again. The last game he played he scored 39 points, but the thing is, he’s not even a ball hog! He says he loves SpongeBob SquarePants and he keeps his room messy. When Beasly was fourteen he was real clumsy with the basketball, look at him now!!!
