The Post Comes Through
This is amazing. If you live in New York, you know the New York Post is notorious for their outrageous cover headlines; it’s something that we laugh about almost every single day in the Dime office. This morning, they didn’t let us down. On today’s cover, there’s a picture of Stephon Marbury on a milk carton with copy that reads: “Last seen: Missing a layup at the buzzer. If seen, please call Knicks GM Isiah Thomas at 1-800-BAD -COACH.”

The people in New York absoulutely kill their players and teams…all the time it seems like…Do Boston and Philly do it all the time too? Is it (the relentless harshness) an east coast thing?

I think it’s a northeast phenomenon.. even down in DC they don’t get as bad as philly, ny and boston. in DC they like to complain and cry but they’re just delusional and over-optimistic about their teams. there’s nothing really venomous directed toward their players or teams like in those other cities.

Hey Smitty it’s not all the people in New York, it’s just the media. The NY Post and Daily News are always coming with some outrageous headlines, whether it be about the Knicks, Yankees, Giants, Mets, etc. You should see how they kill A-Rod up here. That’s why I’m glad he’s leaving the Yankees. To me that headline is completly uncalled for and making things only worse.
