J.O. - A somewhat surprise start yesterday, he dominated (20 and 15), and now should be good to go this week for the Pacers. The bad news? The Pacers only play twice this week.
Stephon Marbury - It’s awful when reality effects fantasy because I feel like a d-bag for even going there with it, and you probably feel like a d-bag for needing information on it. I would sit Steph for the week.
The Celtics - Doc Rivers doesn’t get a whole lot of credit, but he’s doing a great job trying to keep your fantasy all-stars healthy all season long. He did a great job limiting minutes last night. KG only played 26, Pierce played 29, and Ray (who had the hot hand) played 34. I know short-term you’re thinking stats, stats, stats, but long term, this is a good thing.
Jordan Farmar - Back to reality. 20 minutes, 6 points, 1 dime.
Tim Duncan - It sounds like TD is only going to miss a couple of games. We’d probably bench him for the week. Who on the Spurs will fill those minutes? It’s ugly, but Bob Horry will probably take the brunt when the Spurs aren’t going small with Barry and Manu. I wouldn’t claim anyone on the Spurs.
Jason Maxiell - So frustrating. The guy needs 25 minutes a night. In 16 minutes against the Nets yesterday he went for 18, 11, and 3 blocks.
Brevin Knight - One of my all-time favorites, Knight is intriguing right now. He’s starting to fit in better with the Clips and playing 25-35 minutes with Cassell out. Only 8 points and 5 dimes last night, but keep an eye on his assist numbers. He could be in line for a pickup.
Jose Calderon/T.J. Ford - It sounds like Ford is out for at least tonight’s game. He’s still working his way back. Right now, Calderon is the better start.

Doc,
I’ve been proposed a trade which I would normally make a call on myself, but this one is tricky. I give D. Howard, J. Howard, and Aldridge. I get Kobe, T. Parker, and Bogut. I’m stacked at Center with Duncan, Howard, Sheed, Aldridge, Bargnani, and Brand returning in 2-3 months. I’m short at guard so on the surface it seem great, especially getting a top 3 player in Kobe. But for some reason I’m hesitating . . . can you help shed some light on the deal?

The Fantasy Doctor says:
D.H., that’s a serious trade offer. You’re clearly getting the best player in Kobe, and I’m a huge Tony Parker fan in fantasy, but you’re giving up major categories in Dwight. Also you’re other centers aren’t that good. I think he’s getting a good deal. I’d probably try to swap out Aldridge for Bargnani and then do the deal.

Don’t pick up Chucky. If you’re going to pick up a guard on that team, pick up Anthony Carter.

if i were you i’d reject it and get something else besides bogut, he’s a joke and you could get more. this would be a steal for your buddy because he would only be giving up kobe and a mid level point guard in parker when ur giving up dwight (who’s an absolute monster and will continue to improve) and josh howard who has been a top 30 player for the last 3 years….alter the trade to get another player a little better than bogut. don’t forget that lamarcus is the man in portland as well and 2-3 months for brand is a long time to wait. who else is on the other guys roster that you could get instead of bogut?

why pick up anthony carter? do you really think that carter will still have an impact when chucky is healthy or do you think that chucky will basically be non-existent in denver?

3 questions I’ve been struggling with for a while now.
Keep in mind we’re in a 13 team league, with 14 players on each team. The list of available players is very shallow (Diop is the highest ranked avaiable player on our waiver wire)
Which portland swing do I want, Outlaw or Webster? I’ve had webster all year but outlaw is available and he’s just started to come good.
Do I drop Nene? I drafted him and have been sitting on him all season so far.. is it really gonna be worth it when he returns?
My PGs are tony parker, marbury and steve blake at the moment. Thinking of dropping blake.
Who do you like? Blake, Francis or Anthony Carter?

throw in louis williams into that list of potential pg’s with francis, blake and anthony carter.
Although I foolishly dropped him today for Travis Outlaw. Now with Billy King getting fired.. The new GM might ship Miller out and hand the reigns over to LW.
But i’d be able to get LW back on my team in a trade for outlaw no worries.. should I?

Hey Doc…
This is a buyer’s remorse question…… I recently traded Al Harrington, and Antonio Daniels, for Okafur, and Navarro (the guy has Arenas on his team thus the need for Daniels). I’m bleeding in rebounds, and loved Okafur’s D #s. Was this a good trade? This is a 12 team H2H league. Check out the rest of my team now (I’ve got a lot of “hot” now guys, but lack top of the lineup help since I unwisely gambled on Lewis over Yao in the draft):
Daniel Gibson
Joe Johnson
Raymond Felton
Rashard Lewis
Andrea Bargnani
Darko Milicic
LaMarcus Aldridge
Sean Williams
Jamario Moon
Andrei Kirilenko
Juan Carlos Navarro
Emeka Okafor
Chris Paul
