(Almost) Daily Fantasy

Sorry for the couple days off. Crazy couple of days. I’m back. Put your fantasy q’s in the box and I’ll do my best to give you the right advice… though even the Doctor isn’t 100% perfect.

Sean Williams - A must pick up right now. The Nets are officially desperate and are going to run with the rook. Blocks and boards baby. Seriously, they are going to let the kid play and he should be good for 2-4 blocks per games that he doesn’t foul out of in the first 15 minutes.

Nene - He’s back practicing. I’m not saying he’s in shape, but he should be back in action soon. I was sure that by this point either Kenyon or Camby would be out for the year. Nene might be in a 20 minute role for a little while. He has 2nd half value though.

Troy Murphy - The Pacers are finally going to T-Murph and letting him ball. Expect real minutes from now until he gets hurt again. Minutes with Murphy mean points, boards, and a pretty bad field goal percentage.

Nazr Mohammed - He’s going to start for the Bobcats tonight. The Cats are desperate for a presence in the middle so expect Nazr to get real minutes and real rebounding numbers.

    What’s up doc?!

Couple of questions for you. First, your thoughts on bibby. looks like he’s due back by end of january. what kind of value will he have? Do you think he’s worth picking up at the expense of marbury or korver - i’m looking for a better source of assts and 3’s for the stretch run…

Second, i have brand on ice until his return. so far i’ve managed to stay in top 6 in my h-2-h league despite being a man down. Seeing Sean Wiliam’s monster defensive game, nazr having a good first outing and jamario recently dropped, i’m wondering which guy has best pts/reb/blk potential. would you drop brand or should i keep him and drop…marbury or korver??

    thx man!

    Hey Doc,

A guy in my league wants my T-mac/Amare for his Caron Butler/Al Jefferson. I’m losing rebounds every week and my field goal % is one of the worst. Do I stick with my injury-prone all-stars? Or run to the guys putting up big numbers on bad teams?

    Thanks!

    Hi Doc!
    Hello from France ;)

Can you tell me if I should do this trade, please?

I get Chandler and Dampier, I give Okafor and Varejao.

    Thanks doc!

Lomo, Peace Korver and definitely Sean Williams.

French Man, it’s a fair deal. Okafor may have better upside than Chandler, but with Tyson you know exactly what you’re getting.

    Thank you doc.

    I’m gonna do the deal.

    hey flyp

i’m not feeling tmac right now….

i’ve got al jefferson on my team - and i’m loving his numbers. he’s a regular double double.
    last night, jefferson had 24, 14, 4 assts, 2 steals, 1 blk.
game before that, he had 22, 20, 2 steals and a block.

he’s avg fg numbers are about .49 and free throws around 70%. he’s been great for me on my team so far….

caron is avg .499 in fg and 7 boards a game.

i like the deal based on the categories you need

  7. The Kid says:

Whaddup Doc? I am in a 14-team, H2H keeper league and am currently in 9th place. I am in need of a PG for assists and the position…

    My roster:
    Dwyane Wade
    Josh Smith
    Jermaine O’Neal
    Al Harrington
    Jason Richardson
    Andres Nocioni
    Cuttino Mobley
    Sean Williams
    Kevin Martin
    Gilbert Arenas

The injuries to Martin and Arenas are obviously hurting me, and I’m trying to tread water until they come back, hopefully with enough time before the playoffs to bring me into the top 6. Again, it’s a keeper league, so I don’t want to do anything drastic…

Who are some good PG’s to target? I’ve tried going for Hinrich, Felton, even Marbury, possibly in 2-for-1’s even, cuz I really need a PG.

Any PG’s available on the wire worth adding? McCants, A. Johnson? Basically, do you think Johnson is going to keep it up and warrant dropping Mobley or Nocioni? Thanks!

  8. D.H. says:

    Doc,

In one leauge I had auto draft by accident, I ended up with Collison and Murphy at Center (yuck). I have Arenas on the bench right now, and am thinking of doing this trade: I give Butler and I get Rip and Chandler. My thinking is I get a little beefier at Center adding Tyson, and I think Butler will cool off soon, and even more so when Gilbert returns. Any thoughts?
