Photo. courtesy adidasWhen the Celtics played the Cavs a few nights ago, we got e-mails from people asking us about Boston’s warm-ups jackets — the ones with images of the C’s 16 NBA championship banners on the back.
No, the jackets weren’t a motivational tool by Danny Ainge to get KG, Ray, Paul and crew thinking about ‘chip #17. They’re part of adidas’ NBA Heritage Week collection, which you’ll be seeing a lot of for the next week; today through Dec. 14 marks the League’s Heritage Week, which includes teams wearing retro uniforms and playing rivalry games (Bulls/Pistons and Knicks/Sixers are on the docket tonight).
The Celtics, Bulls, Pistons, Warriors, Rockets, Heat, Knicks, 76ers and Lakers will also be wearing the adidas Banner Jackets.
