One Year Ago Today

One year ago today, my Sixers traded the greatest little man in the history of the game for Andre Miller and Jason Smith. Needless to say, December 19th is not one of my favorite anniversaries.

The video posted below is one of the best Allen Iverson retrospectives I’ve ever seen, complete with Tupac, G’Town highlights, crossing up MJ and Allen’s famous follow up on Marcus Camby‘s back-neck in Toronto back in the day:

   The only time you ever trade a Superstar is when you have screwed-up so royally as a GM that even one of the best players of all time won’t carry your lame-ass team to the playoffs (see McHale, Kevin and King, Billy)

   Moral of this story? Don’t screw-up royally and you won’t have to trade your Superstar.

   god I loved watching AI play for the Sixers. if it weren’t for that damn juggernaut of a Lakers squad, that was a championship team! any other year man.. damn!!
