Leave your questions and comments in the box and I’ll try to get to all of them.

Joakim Noah - I picked him up. If you saw any of the Bulls game last night, you saw that Noah (and Joe Smith for that matter) are going to play huge roles in the Bulls turnaround. Noah was straight nasty last night with a few crazy dunks en route to a 17-point night. I may end up cutting Noah tomorrow, but at some point, the kid is going to have value.

Mike Conley - And the Mike Conley Era is officially here. Conley got the start last night and not only played well (7 points, 8 dimes, 6 rebounds), but the Grizzlies won. Expect Memphis to run with Mike the rest of the way.

Louis Williams - Did you see his block-to-alley oop highlight last night? Ridiculous. Williams has real talent and is going to have up-and-down value for the rest of the season.

Stephon Marbury - Steph is back and he says that he isn’t going anywhere. Steph had 16 last night and I fully expect him to be a good 3rd or 4th guard moving forward.

Bonzi Wells - Always one of my favorite fantasy potential players, Bonzi got real run with T-Mac out and dropped 25 and 9. T-Mac should only miss 7-10 days, so Bonzi’s value is very short-term.

John Salmons - From one of my favorites to one of my least favorite fantasy players. John Salmons just isn’t this good, but with few options on the Kings right now, Salmons is going to go off like he did last night on many occasions over the next month. Last nights numbers? 32 points, 11 boards, 6 dimes, and 6 steals!

Carlos Arroyo - I still think the Magic will go back to Jameer at some point, but for now, Orlando is riding the hot hand and that belongs to Carlos Arroyo. Arroyo dropped 16 and 7 dimes last night and should be picked up immediately.

With Tyronn Lue back for Atlanta, I cut Anthony Johnson and picked up Kurt Thomas. What do you think of that move?

  2. TL says:

what kind of value do you think mike bibby has and do you think he’ll be traded? In a 10 team head to head league, when should i pick up Elton Brand?

  3. CHI-C says:

Agent 0 was dropped, when should I scoop him up?

  4. at2 says:

a person offered Wells, bonzi wells and andre miller for my marvin williams and rudy gay. good trade or no?

  5. The Fantasy Doctor says:

MSkittle, I cut Anthony Johnson as well and Kurt Thomas should put up nice rebounding numbers.

TL, I’d pick up both Bibby and Brand soon. Bibby now, Brand very soon. Brand is probably not going to play until March. Bibby is close to being back and will have real value no matter what team he is on.

Chi-C, If it’s a keeper league very soon. If not, you can wait.

at2 - no. You want to keep Rudy Gay and Marvin Williams. Wells will be back on waivers at some point.

  6. chriskaman(yourmouth) says:

PICK UP THE HIBACHI NOW!!!!!!!! store him for a while, the guy will hate himself come playoff time! (especially if he matches up against you in the playoffs) anyway…
Doc, i had previously picked up rodney stuckey just to fill a spot as a rarely used backup pg/sg, then i dropped nazr for conley and i can’t decide whether to drop conley or stuckey and pick up sean williams…should i keep them both and forget about williams or drop one for sw?
note: i am fairly strong at both positions…

  7. chriskaman(yourmouth) says:

maybe forget about williams and look to pick up arroyo instead? thanks for the help doc.

  8. len-e says:

    yo doc!
me getting francisco garcia by giving up luol deng?

  9. The Fantasy Doctor says:

Chris Kaman - Pick up Arroyo. drop stuckey.

Len-e - NOOOOOOOO. Garcia isn’t that good and is only getting this much time+production because of injuries. Deng is legit.

  10. Jules says:

What do you think of this trade I made today -

I gave up Deron Williams for Amare.

Im in last place in REB, O-REB, Blocks, and Steals. 8th place out of 10 teams overall.

I am in second in assists, I thought I could maintain w/o D-Will. Have Mo Williams and Jose Calderon (and Arenas) as my other PGs.

  11. The Fantasy Doctor says:

It’s a fair deal I suppose as long as it’s not a keeper league. my one concern is Amare is always an injury risk where as Deron doesn’t appear to be. That being said, you clearly addressed some of your needs. I might try and pick up an Arroyo just to sure up the PG position.

  12. DVS says:

    Take the flyer on Starbury?

I dropped Jason Terry (nice player, but not consistent)….and have considered a few options.

    One being Beno Udrih
    The next being Rajon Rondo….

Then I check the waiver wire and see that the person that picked up Jason Terry DROPPED Starbury to make room.

    Worth the cop?

  13. dwade says:

deron and artest for dwade and lou williams. Im getting deron and artest. I know artest is injured but dwade seems like a lost cause on miami.

  14. thefunk says:

my rudy gay and brad miller for joe smith(chi) and andre miller.

  15. Jules says:

    Thanks doc.

Its not a keeper league, so I am pretty content. Gonna go look at Arroyo.

  16. sonicsaint says:

DVS you just made a big mistake why would you drop a guy ranked 29 on Y! player rankings to even consider Udrih (who will have no value once Bibby, Martin, and Artest are all back), Rondo (decent upside but unreliable), and Marbury??? I doubt he’ll even finish the season… Lucky guy who snatched Terry..

  17. finance_lady23 says:

with artest out, who should i pick up?

    ben gordon or john salmons?

  18. DVS says:

    sonicsaint….I didn’t need Terry.

He’s had some good games this year….but he’s completely inconsistent and I’d rather have 12 points I can count on every game instead of 3 or 4 21 point games in a row, followed by a string of 5-7 point, horrible shooting games.

  19. chriskaman(yourmouth) says:

financelady? how many people are in your league where ben gordon or john salmons don’t have a home? they should be owned in EVERY league.

  20. foshizzle says:

DVS–you made a HUGE mistake in dropping Terry. Beno Udrih is about to become irrelevant with Bibby coming back and Rondo is ok, but can’t shoot and doesn’t score much. Starbury…really??? I’d love to be in your league if you are dropping fools like Terry. I suggest you put your tail between your legs, go home, and try again later.

  21. DVS says:

ironically….Terry has consistently been putting up goose eggs since i dropped him….and Marbury has comparable if not superior numbers…..and more minutes.

    THANKS GENIUSES!!
