Leave your problems (and for you Bynum owners you officially have one) in the comments box and I’ll try to help you out.
Andrew Bynum - Ouch. Bynum is out for 8 weeks with something to his knee cap that I’ve never heard of. Not good for Bynum owners. The center position is already weak and in good conscience I really can’t recommend picking up Kwame Brown … I sort of have to though in shallow leagues don’t I? Ugh. Turiaf? Ugh 2. Mark Blount until Shaq comes back? Sorry.
Chris Webber - Time to pick up C-Webb. According to Webber, he’ll be back in the League in two weeks. It doesn’t look like it will be the Pistons, though that’s still probably Webber’s first choice. I’m going to guess the Lakers are now suddenly a major factor and if that is where Webber lands, he’ll have value.
The Kings - Getting healthy in a hurry. Kevin Martin is back and Bibby and Artest are back on Wednesday. I would bench Salmons and my man Beno this week and maybe for the extended future.
Steph - Wow. Steph has bone spurs that may require surgery. That being said, Isiah was quoted AFTER the game last night that he didn’t even know that Marbury wasn’t on the bench yesterday. What a crazy season for Steph owners. Nate Robinson should be owned in all leagues. Yes, I’m serious.
Pau Gasol - Any question that Gasol is 100% back? He had a monster week last week to the tune of 25 points, over 10 boards, and 2 blocks per game. Not to mention he shot 58% from the field.
Cat Mobley - Cat was a free agent in my league and I grabbed him. I’ve always been a Cuttino fantasy fan. He scores and shoots at a great percentage. He’s kind of a poor man’s Rip Hamilton, which fits my squad.

Wow C-Webb coming back that is tight. Regardless of how much he has fallen I still just love him being on the court.
Kobe is about to go off with no Bynum. Seriously i expect a serious 30 - 40 every night except for the nights where he is doing like between 60 - 81.

Very tough call. You essentially have 4 injury prone guys. How much are you in it THIS year? If you have a shot at it THIS year, I’d probably make the deal.

watup doc…i had two trades proposed to me yesterday and I’m hesitant to accept or reject them..
booby gibson and lebron (me) for grant hill, haslem, and iverson
and
booby and kendrick perkins (me) for sean williams and tj ford.
I’m fifth in my league out of fourteen people, i’m great at fg%, assists, and stls…and i need 3’s, rebounds, and blocks. What do you think?

The Fantasy Doctor says:
Beantown, that’s a crazy trade. Without knowing the rest of your team, it’s decent. I like that you’re kidding Dwight and Kidd and would rather them over Bosh and Mo Williams. After that… it’s okay. Iguadala for Jackson is a bad swap for you and Udrih is about to be cutable. I’d probably not give up Bogut in that deal also. Probably giving up a little too much.
Duece - first deal is a definite no. You don’t trade LeBron for that. Second deal… it’s two waiver wire players (Perkins and Gibson) for a questionmark and Ford who if he plays is great. I’d do that deal and hope for the best with TJ.

PF Antawn Jamison

C Dwight Howard
C Brendan Haywood
Util Chris Kaman
Util Daniel Gibson
BN Drew Gooden
BN Raymond Felton
BN Dwyane Wade
Im in a H2H 12 team league and at the minute im 5th. Now I wanted to trade off wade so have been making offers and got this one:
BUTLER
PIERCE
for
WADE
D HOWARD
Am i gonna pull the trigger on this? Im leaning towards accepting although i hate giving up the beast!
Im thinking with the rest of my team I can win FT% PTS AST STL 3PTS every week which is obviously 5 of 9 cats and enough to take the league.
Plus i could try and trade for j smoove, yao or dalembeast etc if i needed to make up boards/blocks
What you think?

I’m w/Doc, do not include Bogut in the deal. Are you in a H2H or roto L? If its a H2H, NO WAY IN HELL you accept that deal. The Magic have the single worst playoff sched I’ve seen in 6 yrs of doing fantasy b ball. The Bucks have the best playoff sched amongst all NBA teams. Dude seems pretty savy as he’s asking for 2 Bucks and trying to pawn off a member of the Magic.
Angelsfly:
Never thought I’d say this but I’d prefer Dunleavy to JO right now. My how the mighty have fallen!

I have been offered Jameer Nelson for Kirk Hinrich for a standard Yahoo head2head league. Hinrich is starting to have back spasms, does this sound like a good deal?

Striz thanks alot!
It is a H2H league…what exactly do u mean by “playoff schedule”, is that who they play towards the end, which coincides with fantasy playoffs?? Thats some great info…
The trade has actually now changed to
KIDD-DURANT-CONLEY-D.HOWARD
for my
BOSH-HINRICH-BOGUT-MO.WILLIAMS
as i write this i realize this 2nd offer doesnt seem any better
ANY THOUGHTS? Doc? Striz? ANNNNNYONE?

Sorry to induce the Bynum injury like that… No doubt it had everything to do with the trade I pulled off the day before: my haywood/r-jeff for bynum/kev martin. oh well back to the drawing board. feel good with kmart II but left with nada in the middle. dam! dam! dam!

fantasy doctor sucks says:
This should be called the Never daily fantasy. Plus, how can you recommend Kwame in a shallow league? Perhaps deeper leagues of 12 or more teams. Shaq is back, so basically you haven’t given any advice on replacing one of fantasy’s main stars over the last month…how about Josh Boone? Kurt Thomas or Nazr Mohammed? great job (and I don’t even own Bynum, but come on man). Pick up C-Webb now? He doesn’t have a job, no one knows who is playing for, when he will be in game shape or how many minutes he will be getting…and didn’t you report on Dec. 21 that C-Webb was about to sign with Detroit, but now nearly a month later he still hasn’t signed with anyone? Oh and thanks for telling us Gasol has been playing well, that helps. Dude, this blog blows.

Give it up says:
This column is a serious strike against an otherwise excellent website. Either have a daily fantasy column or just bag it. I am in a fantasy league and greatly appreciate the insight Dime has regarding the NBA but the infrequent updates to the Daily Fantasy is incredibly annoying. Almost as annoying as adding (Almost) to the title. That’s just unprofessional.

here’s what i mean by playoff sched. in wks 23, 24, 25 are the b ball playoffs. therefore its a HUGE advantage in a H2H L to have guys that play more gms. for instance the bucks play 4 gms, 4 gms, SIX games championship wk. the magic on the other hand play 2, 3 and 5 gms championship wk. YUCK! bulls have a favorable sched as well while the sonics blow.
w/all that being said i don’t like the latest offer whatsoever.
