(Almost) Daily Fantasy
Leave your fantasy problems in the comments box and the Doctor will do his best to solve them.
Chris Webber - Evidently it’s down to the Warriors and Lakers. I know C-Webb wants to play for the Pistons but they don’t seem to want to make room for him. I really don’t like Webber as a good fit for Golden State and think the best thing for everyone, fantasy owners included, is for him to end up on the Lakers. We will see though.
Travis Diener - I really think Diener needs to be looked at if you need a guard. The Pacers clearly aren’t thrilled with Jamaal Tinsley, and Jim O’Brien has made miracles out of point guards before. Especially ones that can hit the three. Last night, he had 15 points and 9 assists.
Jeff Foster – If you need center help, Jeff Foster might be the guy you have to turn to. He’s more active than Troy Murphy and with JO out, they need his defensive presence. Foster had 13 and 6 last night and double digit boards the two games prior. He’s a good shot blocker but has no blocked shots in his last three games.
Bobby Simmons – It’s literally been two years since Bobby Simmons has had value but he has scored double digits in two games straight and still has enough skill to have value. He can score, hit threes, and board. Keep an eye on him.
Josh Boone – He’s possibly one of the worst free throw shooters this side of Shaq, but he’s a good rebounder and aggressive following up shots. Last night’s 21 and 17 is kind of crazy though.

Danny says:
In addition to last night’s line, Boone has nights of 18 & 12 and 17 & 16 in the last 5 games. In general, if he plays over 30 minutes, he puts of big numbers. The free throw shooting is ugly, though he played tough during hack-a-boone last night.
I think he’s a solid pickup with potential for a big second half.

The Fantasy Doctor says:
He was for 6-12 from the line i believe and everyone is saying he was solid from the line. that’s a bad sign. If he qualifies as a center, he’s a legit short term pick up.

i just cant shake it, but i DO NOT like boone. i see him as a waste of NBA space. a lot are more deserving than him to be in the league. anybody any thought on this? there are others like him but none that bugs me as he does.

I cut Ronnie Brewer to make room for Bobby Simmons. Good move?

I’m no fan of Boone either, jz. I think it’s that hair, though I can’t really picture him looking better with another cut.
I don’t play in a category league, so it makes me like Boone more. Still, his FG% is great, and he’s been getting double-double love more and more.
I’d rather pick him up than Webber or Sideshow Varejao, that’s for sure. Or, oh yeah, Jeff Foster.

fantasydoctorsucks says:
During the month of January, Boone is averaging 11.3 points, 9.8 boards, 1 block, 1 steal, .5 assists, 1.6 to’s, 47.8 fg%, 43 ft%. He has been getting 29.8 minutes a game and doesn’t have the foul problems that S. Williams encounters. Over the last week his numbers have climbed to 12.3 points and 11.3 boards with a block and steal per game. You are about a month late in mentioning Boone. The only threat to his value is the return of Kristic, but I think it will be Williams who suffers more if anyone. Over the last month pretty much the only think Williams is doing significantly better in is blocks. The fantasy doctor misdiagnosis yet again.

Well, another double-double for Boone. 13 and 14 tonight against the mighty Camby Man. I think I’ll pick him up.
