High School Power Ranking

IMAGE DESCRIPTIONKemba Walker on Bounce #13

Over on High School Hoop we linked to the latest national prep Top 25 power ranking, courtesy SI‘s Kevin Armstrong. At the top of the list sits New Jersey powerhouse St. Anthony, led by junior guard Dominic Cheek, who lists North Carolina, Rutgers, Villanova and Miami as some of the programs high on his recruiting radar. Cali juggernaut Mater Dei holds down the #2 spot, showing that they’re doing alright without current Duke freshman Taylor King, and New Jersey’s St. Benedict’s is at #3, powered by Louisville recruit Samardo Samuels. Armstrong’s Top 10 looks like this:

1. St. Anthony (N.J.)
2. Mater Dei (Calif.)
3. St. Benedict’s (N.J.)
4. Duncanville (Texas)
5. Rice (N.Y.)
6. Chester (Pa.)
7. Archbishop Mitty (Calif.)
8. Yates (Texas)
9. Norcross (Ga.)
10. St. Patrick (N.J.)

CONGRATS TO KEMBA WALKER FOR MAKING THE MCDONALD’S ALL AMERICAN TEAM. THIS KID IS A STRAIGHT STUD ON THE BASKETBALL COURT. HE WILL BE GREAT FOR UCONN I WATCHED HIM TAKE IT TO MY FORMER HIGHSCHOOL ALL HALLOWS LAST WEEK IN THE SECOND HALF. ALTHOUGH THE GAME WAS CLOSE HE NEVER PANICED. HE JUST GOT IT DONE. HE IS CLEARLY THE BEST PURE POINT GUARD THAT AMERICA HAS TO OFFER.
