No Brooklyn Nets til 2010
Photo. MannionWord came out earlier this afternoon that the Nets can’t move to Brooklyn until 2010 for various reasons that you can see HERE.
No worries, as this should still fit in nicely for a certain someone who becomes an unrestricted free agent around the same time.

I think leaving cleveland will be hard for a lebron - even if they still suck. If it wasn’t for the fact that he grew-up there it would be a different story…but dumping your home-town is tough when you are are a bonifide superstar (drafted by them - can stay forever if he wants to and can name his price).
Imagine if MJ was drafted by New York and played there for the first 7 years of career. Imagine of Kobe was drafted by the 76ers and played there for the first 7 of his career. I think in Lebron’s situation leaving your team is a big deal.
Besides, what is new your worried about, they have Steph right? Maybe you should trade for Bassy and Artest to round-out the home team.

He needs to come and save the Knicks. The Knicks need to do whatever they have to do to get under the cap and sign LeBron. Keep Lee,Balkman,Crawford,Randolph and Chandler and gut the rest of the team. I just hope that the only reason Dolan is keeping Zeke around is for them to have a chance at the #1 pick.

It is possible that the Jay-Z owned Brooklyn Nets will become the most valuable NBA franchise ever. They are in NY which is probably the #1 media market in the US (if it isn’t LA).
If you are Lebron - your income (sponsorships) on a New York team is 10 times what it is in a smaller market like Cleveland. (especially in the legendary basketball mecca of Brooklyn)

Imagine how many “James -23″ Jerseys would sell with “Brooklyn” across the front. We’re talking stupid sales numbers.

Did I mention that the greatest basketball player ever (MJ) was born in…you guessed it….Brooklyn, NY
I wonder how many seconds it took Jay-Z to decide he would somehow sell “Jordan - 23″ Brooklyn jerseys
