Really? Apparently so. Nellie is quoted in today’s San Francisco Chronicle as saying that he’s been so impressed by Webber in practice that he’s planning on “starting him every game.”
The loser in this move? Al Harrington. Twice. Apparently he had to give up tickets on the 50-yard line for Sunday’s Super Bowl because Nelson called a practice to further acclimate Webber to the mix and and now he’s losing his starting spot.

Remember, Nellie was talking up Belinelli before the season started, saying he was gonna be a starter and how great he was, and now he barely plays.

Talk is cheap. I’m a Warriors fan, but my whole attitude towards this is “wait and see.” I don’t think it’s a given that C-Webb will have a huge impact, but he’ll at least give them the option to go big or play small-ball, whereas this year and last they were forced to go small because they didn’t have any legitimate PFs (Al Harrington and Josh Powell don’t count).
I still think they should give Brandan Wright more PT. I mean they did trade J-Rich for him, although that move was more to get rid of his contract and open up PT for Monta Ellis.
Belinelli tore up the summer league, where he was a relative unknown, and we all know the NBA regualar season is a lot different from summer league. It’s not like he was going to get much PT over Ellis, Jackson, Barnes, Pietrus and Azubuike.
Nevertheless, I’m still excited to see Webber back in a Warriors uni. He’s the whole reason I became a Warriors fan in the first place.
