Moon Shot

Jamario Moon, like Rudy Gay, has been doing his thing on YouTube in preparation for this month’s dunk contest. This popped up yesterday (we spotted it on TrueHoop):

A little hokey, a little corny; but whatever makes the dunk contest more interesting is cool with us.

Did you see where he took off on that last dunk? Dude looks like he could take off from just inside the 3-point line and still dunk it.

I can’t wait to see what he does when he’s under the bright lights.

I don’t know why people are hating on the dunk contest. This year is gonna be sick.

  2. bill says:

does anyone think he can actually do that? or is he just using it as a hype gimmick?

  3. 2 Easy says:

I have the best idea for a dunk for Apollo 33. He should put on a vintage Carter jersey, im talkin purple and black days and do one of the amazin dunks VC did when he participated in the contest.

  4. bill says:

nah thats a crap idea.. imitations dont impress. we want originality

the crowd gets excited when they see something new for the first time

thats why i never dug nate robinsons dunk over spud webb.
we’d seen the jersey thing before from josh smith and we’ve seen the jump over someone a number of times too

  5. G says:

I hate the imatation dunks. Theyre stupid and never as good as the original.

Also, is that rim 10 ft? Looks like it might be a bit low

  6. Eric says:

Agree that imitations dunks suck. All starting with that dumbass wheel in 2002. Josh Smith’s was a cool tribute and was original. But since then, Nate and Gerald Green did it. It’s lost its luster and is just not cool. No imitations.

Also, if u look at the reflection on the floor of Moons last dunk, he doesnt have a ball in his hand and u dont see a ball bounce off the ground.

  7. fireman says:

yeah that rim doesnt even look like it the right height
