Congratulations fellow Sixers fans - as your team continues to play its way right out of 10 years of Michael Beasley dominance in exchange for a pointless first-round sweep at the hands of the Celtics or Pistons, you can pick up one of these tonight to have stare at you every day as a reminder.

G says:
F the sixers, F their nonsense ticket policies that limit the number of cheap seats available, F paying Larry Brown, F not making any moves, F not having a franchise player, F spending millions on players that havent played on the team in years, F keeping lottery picks on the bench, F comcast, F trading away the heart and soul who now is playing out of his mind, F the dance team preforming that whack shit
Seriously there are about 5 things that make the Sixers worth going to see.
1. The chance that Iggy will get a fast break dunk
2. Yelling Louuuuuuuuuu
3. Booing Willie Green
4. Crab Fries
5. Whatever star happens to be on the other team that night
When will this team start putting together pieces? When will they take advantage of being in one of the largest media markets in the country? When will they make a trade for a player who can jump over the sunday paper? When will it be fun to be a sixers fan again?

Dime Magazine says:
G - All great points and all excellent questions.
One thing though: I would probably list “Crab Fries” as the clear-cut No. 1 thing about going to see the Sixers play.

yeah, it really kills me that we’re not tanking. I hate the fact that our players actually give a damn about winning. Man, I wish I was fan of the Bucks, or the Knicks, how bout Memphis? Maybe Seattle? Pat, maybe you should become a fan of one of those teams, they seem to have the best chance of getting your precious Beasley. I like dime, I do, but when the resident sixer’s “guy” makes no mention of the improved play of our young guys or the chemistry they have, and instead constantly whines about not getting beasley… What the hell is this?

Dennis Castro says:
I’m sorry, but what did tanking get Boston last year in terms of a pick?
I’ll always take winning over losing. I think the core is here in terms of talent. It’s obvious that you have to keep Miller, he’ll be this consistent for the next 3-5 years.
Then you’ve got the young guys(Lou, Thaddeus, Jason Smith, even Dalembert as he seems like he’s starting, just starting to put it together) If Iguodala stays and they add a decent low post player, this team can be a solid playoff team.
The low post PF is key though. Brand maybe?

Let the losers and their loser mentality think of tanking. Just like teams such as the Clippers who have a looooong legacy of tanking for the past decade. Where has it gotten them? Nowhere.
The right mentality is a winning mentality. You can’t hold back the whole team for an entire NBA season just because you think you might have an outside chance of grabbing a young kid from school and expect him to turn into something. Not happening. The LeBrons, Kobes, Iversons, and Duncans are once-per-decade types of players. They don’t suddenly appear draft after draft.
The lottery is all a gamble. And I don’t want the 76ers to play it while compromising their players’ winning attitudes. They didn’t do it last year after the Iverson trade, they haven’t done it this year, and will not do it.
They’ll be in the playoffs, and that’s all that matters. Not beating the Pistons or the Celtics. But making it to the playoffs and growing year after year with their group of young players.
Let the losers enjoy the view from outside in.

nice to see the real sixer fans show up:) I was checking out the standings, and I think we have a pretty legit shot at the sixth seed. That means no Boston or Detroit in the first round and the East being the East…

Recliner GM says:
I am completely in agreement with Sean and the real Sixers fans. Tanking games 1. rarely works with the lottery system, it only really worked when they were still flipping coins for the top two picks. 2. Develops a terrible habit - LOSING that is often hard to overcome. 3. Likely would get Coach Mo fired which I don’t want to see either. Real Sixers fans check this out:

SteveC says:
To all the people who are happy the Sixers tried last year and got the 12th pick and will make the playoffs this year with a losing record and pick out of the Lottery I ask you this. Name one team in the last 20 years that has won a Championship without a Top 5 pick playing a dominant role? Let’s see…
Spurs - Duncan - #1 Overall
Heat - Wade #5 Overall, Shaq #1 Overall
Pistons - Billups #3 Overall, Sheed #4 Overall
Lakers - Shaq #1 Overall
Bulls - Jordan #3 Overall
Rockets - Hakeem - #1 Overall
Pistons - Isiah Thomas - #2 Overall
Lakers - Magic #1 Overall, James Worthy #1 Overall, Kareem #1 Overall
So yeah that’s what tanking gets you, a Top #5 pick and a ring.
