The Knicks Fight

Marc Berman’s Knicks blog in the New York Post sums up the team’s night on Tuesday pretty nicely:

Curry sits, Randolph douses

By MARC BERMAN

WASHINGTON – Eddy Curry Eddy Curry nor Zach Randolph Zach Randolph saw their trade value go up last night in their overtime victory in Washington. Curry was benched after leaving midway through the third quarter. And Randolph acted like he was back in a Portland nightclub tiff.

Randolph and Nate Robinson Nate Robinson had a run-in on the bench after regulation. Punctuating the verbal jawing, Randolph threw a cup of water at Robinson. Robinson responded by tossing back a towel before they were separated.

Randolph called it “heat of the moment.’’ “It was a misunderstanding,’’ Randolph said. “Nate and I talked about it.’’

Robinson said much the same thing, reading from a script from the P.R. department that closed the locker room an illegal 20 minutes after the game. David Stern has a sign on the locker room doors, saying doors must open after 15 minutes, but the Knicks go by their own rules.

Randolph appears on edge with the trading deadline tomorrow. Randolph was named in a police report Jan. 31st when the club was in Portland, linked to a nightclub brawl. No mention of a cup water was contained in the police report.

And keep in mind that they won last night. What a debacle.

I was wondering if those two had an issue back when Nate switched lockers a while back. His locker used to be right next to Zach’s, now he’s on the other side of the room.

This just goes to show how the Wiz always need at least 2 of their big 3 in order to do anything. If its just Jamison out there goin nuts then nothin good will happen for them. The Knicks are just getin harder and harder for me to understand

I think it’s good that Nate is not bigger. He clearly has some anger issues. Not just with this incident but he has like a track record of some on court beefs. Imagine if he was a center he would always be going after someone. Honestly is it a case of little man’s disease?
Z-Bo prolly just fighting to increase his chances at getting gone!

I saw the incident last night, it looked like Q was calling some of his teammates out and Randolph didn’t like what he was hearing so he threw some water in Nate’s direction, in return Nate threw a towel back. I’m glad Nate’s on the Knicks, cause he’s the only one who plays with a certain swagger.

  6. Kudabeen says:

Nate has anger issue probably because he is not “bigger”.

    “Little Man Complex”…

Either way I think on a team of knuckleheads pointing out Nate as the problem is senseless. Give me Nate, Crawford, Lee, Balkman, Chandler, and Randolph…The rest including Isiah and Dolan the league can do without…

  7. PISTONSCHIP08 says:

napoleon complex is what its called and nate def has it love to see him and marbury go at it steph wins prob

  8. GEE...I woke up this morning and pissed excellence says:

Naw Nate would win he is strong as an ox for real. Steph don’t want no parts of that.

For real in a fight guard wise I am taking Nate.
