(Almost) Daily Fantasy
Jeff Green (Photo. David Deal)The Rockets - I’ve been loving Luis Scola as a second-half pick up for a while now. If you’re a reader, and haven’t grabbed him, with the injury to Yao it is officially too late. Now the eyes turn to Carl Landry, Chuck Hayes, and Dikembe Mutombo. Hayes is a poor man’s Kurt Thomas and shouldn’t be considered for a pick up. Landry is someone we’ve been watching for over a month and after getting the start last night (12 points), teams are sure to grab him. While I like Landry’s chances at some double/doubles, I don’t think he’ll do it consistently and actually think big Mo might end up with more value because of blocks. I’m not touching the situation. My condolences to Yao owners.
Sam Cassell - After all the talk by the Clippers front office about not buying Sam out, Sam has probably talked his way into the buy out. Unless he ends up on the Lakers, I can’t see Sam’s value going up. If Boston ends up being the destination, I really think Rondo’s value doesn’t take that big of a hit initially. Maybe down the road, but Sam would be signed for the playoffs and 4th quarter and they’ll make sure he’s fresh by limiting his minutes. I think the Celtics are honestly undecided about the move though.
Randy Foye - Welcome to the 20-Point Club. Wow. I have not been a Foye fantasy fan, but have been consistent with this - the Wolves are going to give Foye the keys for the last part of this season to let him develop. At some point in this second half, Foye will get very hot. Right now though, he will be inconsistent.
Jeff Green - Austin’s favorite player should be a nice bench guy/4th starter the rest of the way. I know he put up nice points last night, and will get real minutes the rest of the season, but I find it unlikely that the team who wins in your league will be starting Jeff Green.

that’s coming from the same guy who said that if you looked up “man” in the dictionary, you’ll find stevenson’s picture right beside it.

Great first two comments. I always say this, deshawn stevenson was the best hs guard I’ve ever seen. If he had gone to college, I really think his NBA career would have been much different. A two guard coming at his size coming out of high school to the league was kind of unheard of before deshawn.

Duece….
I would’ve kept Diaw, but picking up Moon was not a bad choice. I think that Diaw is a stat guy who does some of everything. Moon is best with boards and blocks.
I would not make the trade because Duncan will probably have his minutes somewhat limited trying to keep him fresh for the playoffs..Iverson shoots bad percentages and has turnovers…and Wright is inconsistent. Ellis, West, and Iggy are going to be consistent as I’m sure you know. Oh and good luck trying to get Howard.

hey doc, i have a question and i think you can help me out.
i just got offerred kirilenko and alston for j-moon and chandler.
im leaning towards accepting it right now, cuz i’m tops in boards, and the 3rd best is 500 behind me, and i’m 4th in steals and 5th in 3’s. here’s my team (standard 9-cat y! roto)
pg: mo williams sg: joe johnson g: josh smith sf:moon pf: gasol f: rudy gay c: dwight howard c: chandler utils: dunleavy, delonte west bench:conley, brand, udrih
the only downside i see is that i have a bit of an overload on pg, but tyrus thomas is available on waivers, so thats easy. im just worried about a potential injury to gasol or howard, leaving me w/o a center if brand stays out.
whats your take? right now, im leaning make it, then drop conley/udrih for tyrus thomas.
thanks doc.

Hey Doc,
My team is in a good position & doesnt need too much tweaking…
But I wanna get the best outta my bench. We could use help in REBS, BLOCKS & perhaps FG% (which I never pay much attention to)
That being said who helps me more here? Can u maybe rank them? Tyrus Thomas, Varejao, Dampier, Landry, Josh Boone.
Thanks
