just to clarify:

good prospects (at the time, we can update that to piss-poor for Gerald): Gomes, Gerald
great prospect: Big Al

KG would've fetched MUCH more had he been traded a few years ago when he should've been, but oh well. At the time, that was the best they could get. Still infinitely better than what was traded for Pau.

Gerald to Houston may be a good thing. Going home could get his career back on track. I'm rooting for the kid, but it's not looking so great...

agreed, didn't get the SA trade either.

for the millionth time, McHale got the best haul he could get for KG. He got 3 good to great prospects (it's only this year people realized how bad Gerald Green really is, Big Al is legit, and Gomes is a very solid role player) a wildcard with potential (Telfair) over $10M in cap space coming off the books (Ratliff's deal) and 2 #1 picks including their own for this year back (which they gave up in the Ricky Davis trade I think, unprotected this year, so A TOP 10 PICK) That's exactly what you're looking for when trading a superstar and going into rebuilding mode.

That read is wack they not telling you nothing that you don't already know. Slam is wack for trying to even give that like it's breaking info.

Gerald Green gets to dunk in red socks now.
Again Mike James could have worked in Houston.

Is this 3sum deal official?

I'm not sure it helps any of the teams involved. If the trade goes thru, consider the following:

* Who starts at center for the Bulls?
* What do they do with a trio of Drew Gooden, Tyrus Thomas and Joakim Noah?
* Does adding Larry Hughes mean Ben Gordon is offical out of Chicago?

* How does Joe Smith and Ben Wallace help the Cavs?
* Are the Cavs now officially the worst ft shooting team with Ben Wallace?
* Ira Newble, Donyell Marshall and Adrian Griffin to the Seattle Sonics?....WHAT THE HELL ARE THE SONICS DOING?

Larry Hughes and Drew Gooden to Chicago,

Ben Wallace and Joe Smith to Cleveland.

The Cavs' Ira Newble, Donyell Marshall and Adrian Griffin to Seattle for Wally Szczerbiak and Delonte West.

Supposedly.

But this trade to me hurts the spurs. Brent is a better shooter and ellison hustles more than thomas. It may have been the spurs hooking up seattle. However, I do not think it is any where near the garnett or gasol trade, in terms of one sided deals.

The Spurs trade is all about office connections. Sam Presti works in Seattle but is still loyal to San Antonio, so he gave them a gift. It's like McHale giving Garnett to the Celtics or Jerry West advising that the Grizzlies give Gasol to the Lakers.
It seems like too many trades lately are all about who your friends are.

Yea I hate that for Brent cause he helped them out of some tight spots before. As they say its about bizness though.

I wanna know what all this Cleveland chatter is about. 3 is fast approaching.
