BREAKING NEWS: Yao is out for the season
Believe it. The Rockets cannot catch a break. T-Mac cannot catch a break. But apparently Yao can always catch one. Right in the middle of a 12-game win streak, it was announced just a few minutes ago that the big man has suffered a stress fracture in his foot and will undergo surgery to end his season (including the playoffs). Where did the injury even come from? Yao looked fine the last time we saw him.

Someone on another site said “Made in China” LOL.
For real …I am very depressed on this right now. Hate that to happen to Houston and him.
Time for the return of the Mountain. Mutumbo gone grab like 14 - 17 rebounds and he all of 55.
Dang it. I said some time ago though, that Tracy and Yao trade off time on injuries. It’s Yao’s turn be he ain’t suppose to take a whole season. Wow!
I’m hurting so bad!

This sucks. Yao catches breaks, T-Mac catches spasms/not caring. Tough for Rockets fans.

Better try to get a hold of Magloire before he inks with Dallas or maybe Chris Andersen if NO passes on him. Damn, I was traumatized when we lost Bynum but we stole Pau. Houston got a HUGE prob

The more and more I look at it, I just don’t see a remedy either. I wish Mourning wasn’t hurt. I would take LaMarcus.
Mutumbo is going to have to come through.
Who honestly is left that can give a 20-10 that Yao gives.
On top of all that. RIGHT AFTER TRADE DEADLINE. COULDN’T THIS AT LEAST HAPPEN BEFORE THE DEADLINE!

Time to make a run at Beasley. This really sucks, they were on a roll.

K-Dizzle says:
Run at Beasley? Are you serious? The team ain’t scraps and they’ll never be as bad as the teams really in the Beasley hunt: Minny, Miami, Seattle, Memphis and of course Milwaukee and the NYK

Prof. TX says:
The Rockets should bring Olajuwon back, he’d do better than a lot of centers out there.
I loved this team when I was young, but I’m f-ing sick of this cursed franchise they have now. Something bad ALWAYS happens to them to keep them out of lottery contention but out of title contention too.

Prof. yea there is a cursed feeling on them. Who is the last player the franchise did really wrong? He must have put some chicken voo-doo on the Rockets lol.
I mean this could have happened (granted you don’t want an injury to anyone) at the 1, 3 or 4 spot to any of the roll players. Nope to the most consistent dude on the squad.
Is Sabonis still willing to play?
K-Diz thanks for making that clear. The Rockets still are not crap, specially with a healthy Mac. It’s just teams you knew they would win against now stand a much better chance, not having to double Yao. Houston has to play teams straight up now. If T-Mac ever needed to put himself back to when he was drawing comparisons with Kobe….now is the time.

Wow, that SUCKS… I like T-Mac, and I feel TERRIBLE for him…. even if they do manage to sneak into the playoffs SOMEhow… it’ll be another press-conference-crying-session for him…. they were finally rolling, too…
They seriously need to go after Magloire, sit him down, and explain to him that THIS is his chance to redeem himself after having so many disappointing seasons following his all-star breakout year… who knows, maybe a butterfly will emerge from all this… poor H-town people, my heart goes out to you…

Couldn’t care less about the Sprockets, but a lot of sympathy for Yao. He must be feeling terrible.
