I agree with you Austin, but rarely does a two guard have the type of athleticism of Vince. I think Sheed should definitely cut back on some of the 3s, but you have to remember at times it helps free the baseline for Rip to get open, CB4 to post up, etc...Celts fan also makes a good point about defense, cause Sheed is one of the more underrated defenders in the league.

*if it comes out Vince has been injured these past few years, he's given the benefit of the doubt from me and I'll blame the injuries. BTW, a heart defect doesn't count

that's true Austin, but it's tough to call him soft when he's down banging on D. Plus, I think the blame for that has been put where it belongs (the green) whereas Vince has admittedly dogged it out there before and seems to constantly settle for the J instead of driving. Compare Kobe and Vince's games, since based on athleticism and ability, they should be similar, and you'll see differences like night and day. I tend to agree with you that Sheed should be down on the block more, but it's easier to deal with a guy like that settling than a 2 with all the athleticism in the world hardly ever driving. I'm not saying it's right, just that that's how it is. and people say all the time that Sheed should get down on the block more, it's just no one's going to call him soft. The complaints are the same, the labels why/how are different, that's all. Plus, people like Sheed and know Vince flat-out (and admittedly) quit on Toronto. You don't get any benefit of the doubt on that one, the target is put right on your back and people are waiting for and hoping you'll screw up. You do make a very valid point though Austin about Sheed needing to be dwon on the block more. Difference in the soft argument though is that Sheed is down there banging on the defensive end every time down the floor, so to me, that gets him out of "soft." I don't know how I can say he's soft though, since, "Both teams played hard my man."

And my point is that if you wanna get on Vince for that, you also have to criticize Rasheed. He's damn near 7-foot and settles for more jumpers than anyone. Even in the post he usually takes a fadeaway. But for whatever reason, people don't mind Sheed's settling.

Austin - we don't know it's a fear thing w/ Vince, it's just fun to say, and the BS he pulled in Toronto has put that target on his back forever for me. I've also heard numerous anonymous NBA players, scouts, and GM's say the key to taking Vince out of his game is contact. Make him have to work for it and he ends up settling for long jumpers. The difference between Vince and those other guys you listed is that Vince tends to settle for jumpers all the time. The words, "fearlessly driving to the rim" are used constantly with the guys you listed. Last time I remember hearing that for Vince, he had a goofy purple dinosaur on his uni.

@CeltsFan - And we know with Vince that it's a fear thing? When did he say that? I still don't know why everyone says he settles for jumpers when every elite 2-guard's game is jump shot-heavy: Kobe, T-Mac, Jordan ... none of them drive all the time.

"Crazy sequence: Kidd tosses an oop for LeBron, who can’t convert but turns it into a dunk for Dwight."

That's it for the highlight of the night? That shit looked like something out of NBA Street.

the Unis were tough too. The East's back was silver while the West's unis were white? Of course that's tough to watch. Don't know who approved that, but hope the resume's up to date...

Sheed gets a bit of a pass cuz he actually busts his @$$ on D. Plus, we know with him, it's not a fear thing. Is anyone even sure Vince doesn't still sleep with a night light?

Not a metion of Sheed taking lefty threes?! The one he hit was left handed.

The uniforms were confusion like hell for us watching on TV, they overdid them imo.

Still a very enjoyable game. How about the east tandem of Dwight and LeBron? If those two ever play on the same team ( you know, a regular team), the univers will explode! They are nasty.
