Shaq on Dime 38For the first time since January 21st, Shaq laced ‘em up at Suns practice and learned that the NBA’s track-stars do things differently.
“It was different. It was very intense,” he said after the one-hour workout. “I learned a lot. Now I can see why they can go at the pace they play at. When you just do short bursts like this, then you can save it all for the game.
“I haven’t done anything in a month,” O’Neal said, “but I’m in pretty good shape. It will probably take me a few more days to get in tune. The good thing about these guys here is they told me when I’m comfortable, when I’m one-thousand percent, then I can join them.”
O’Neal’s status for the Suns two remaining games before the break looks doubtful – at Golden State (9 PM Wednesday, ESPN) and home against Dallas (10:30 PM Thursday, TNT). Mike D’Antoni said that the Suns will “not rush him back for any reason.”

If Shaq comes back by then, I think their game against the Lakers on February 20th will be the biggest regular season game the NBA has had since Kobe-Shaq I.

I cant believe what Bill Walton said. He irriates me sometimes, many times he actually has intelligent things to say but I find this to be borderline retarded. Shaq said he hes gettin a fifth ring because thats Shaq’s character. He did not say he promised a paradie nor that they would definately win like he did when they were in Miami but hes just statin somethin he wants. To all those who hated on the trade because they thought Shaq would bitch about his touches, u forget the only reason he did that in Miami was because all of the sportscasters were blamin him for Miami flounderin and he wasnt even gettin 10 shots is most games and I kno if im gettin blamed for losses and im not gettin enough shots of course youd get upset. Im not sayin that this is guaranteed to work out but remember Shaq’s willin to be a role player if neccessary. I wonder if anyone remembers that the Hawks are gonna be forced to replay a game against the Heat cause of Shaq lol poor Hotlanta
