Raining MVP

Is Dirk Nowitzki clutch? Any kind of rep he’d built during the Finals run in ’06 and last year’s MVP regular season was snuffed out in the now-infamous Golden State series. And like we said heading into this season, now no one cares what Dirk does until the playoffs come around and he’s got a shot to redeem himself. That said, his showing against the Celtics was a checkpoint as to where he is as a crunch-time performer. Glass half-empty? The Mavs lost to a Boston team that didn’t have Kevin Garnett (ab strain) in part because Dirk missed a couple crucial shots down the stretch and let Rajon Rondo get a key offensive rebound over him that led to Rondo’s stick-back game-winner. Glass half-full? Dirk (31 pts, 11 rebs, 6 asts, 3 blks) didn’t shy away from shouldering the load in the game’s biggest moments, and even when he missed he wasn’t deterred from taking the big shot again … Had KG been available, Doc Rivers would have sicc’d him on Dirk to get those key stops, but instead the job fell to Leon Powe and James Posey. While Powe kind of got worked and baited into some bad fouls, Posey was outstanding. He forced Dirk to miss shots, got a big-time steal on Dallas’ last chance possession where he dove Rodman-style to the floor to get a loose ball, and Posey hit the free throws to ice the game. Lots of Tommy Points for Posey … Rondo’s fake behind-the-back move is becoming signature. He tried it twice against Dallas and it looked good, but he needs to finish more consistently … Scot Pollard looked like a mentally unstable hit man on the bench in that suit … A lot was made about Ray Allen (26 pts) not making the All-Star Game while Paul Pierce (26 pts) did make the cut. (Check our reaction to the reserves HERE). Have to admit, Ray’s “Something stinks in here” face when they showed him watching the ASG roster unveiling was funny … The biggest snub last night? Definitely Marcus Camby. In most years, Amare‘s 22 points and 9 boards per game for one of the League’s best teams would be tough to argue against, but Camby’s numbers and impact on the game are simply too good to leave him out. He’s averaging 14.3 boards, 3.9 blocks, 1.0 steals and 9.3 points, and the Nuggets are winning. But we can see where it’d look weird to have three Nuggets on the team and only one player from Phoenix … The Rookie Challenge rosters have also been set. We foresee a blowout, although we’re assuming someone will have to replace Brandon Roy. How about Kyle Lowry? … Kobe was cooking the Pistons, hanging 39 points on them but notching the Ugly Triple-Double with 10 boards and 11 turnovers. Detroit won the game in the final seconds when Tayshaun Prince chased down an offensive rebound and kicked it out to Chauncey Billups, and since everyone was scared of Chauncey knocking down the game-winner, Prince got it back wide open in the corner and hit a three. Lamar Odom got an uncontested look from the wing that could have won it, but he air balled … Just when you think the Spurs are done, they walk into the gym or arguably the best team in the League and steal a victory. By all rights, San Antonio should have lost — a confused Tim Duncan could only answer, “I have no idea” when asked afterwards how they won … Phoenix jumped on the Spurs from the tip; it seemed every time you looked up, Shawn Marion (21 pts, 10 rebs, 5 stls) was catching a dunk. The Spurs didn’t make their move until the fourth quarter, and a key play was (surprise) a Manu Ginobili flop. After chasing down a rebound with about 2:20 left, Manu got “hit” by a Boris Diaw “elbow” and went into SAG mode to draw the call … In the final minute, Michael Finley nailed a three to bring the Spurs within one, then Duncan (16 pts, 17 rebs) banked in the go-ahead bucket with 30 seconds left. Steve Nash nearly turned the ball over on the next possession, then Amare did turn it over, and it looked to be over before Amare came back to get an and-one on Duncan. Whether you hate the Spurs or Duncan, you have to admit that last call was weak. Duncan’s whiny-face act was for once totally justified. Anyway, Amare bricked the free throw and the game was over … Watching Jacque Vaughn brick open jumper after open jumper – and the Suns clearly not respecting his J at all – it made you realize why Damon Stoudamire would look so attractive to the Spurs. It got to the point where Reggie Miller said, “You know, there’s nothing wrong with taking one dribble and getting in close.” And Jacque was still San Antonio’s leading scorer at the half, putting up 11 points and finishing with 17 … No LeBron (ankle) meant not much chance for the Cavs to beat anyone – even the Sonics. It also meant more clock for Donyell Marshall, only dude checked into the game without his jersey … Our Lifestyle Editor, Christian Grant-Fields, is in Portland on business, and spent yesterday night at Fred Jones‘ charity bowling event. The Knicks are in town to play the Blazers tonight, so the crew included Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldridge, Zach Randolph, Greg Oden, David Lee, Jamal Crawford, Jarrett Jack, Randolph Morris, Malik Rose and James Jones. According to Christian, Fred Jones is nice with a bowling ball, LaMarcus “kinda stunk,” and Jarrett Jack is OK, but everyone was more impressed with his fashion sense … You’ve heard about Rudy Gay‘s invitation for fans to help him come up with stuff to do in the Dunk Contest. Well, after Rudy opened the door, we knew it wouldn’t be long before our man Terrell “TDub” Cournoyea from Team Flight Brothers got involved. To the uninitiated, TDub is a 5-9 cat from Minnesota with STUPID hops. Here’s his challenge for Rudy:

… We’re out like Camby …

and go check out Steve Lobel from Slam Nation… that boy got hops but this Minnesota dude can fly

  4. josh says:

    last dunk…sick sick sick

  5. YOUNGFED says:

Why does everyone think it’s such a big deal for 3 players to be in an allstar game from Denver when Detroit had 4 a couple years ago.

  6. oldfed says:

Sorry, my son has proven retarded…again. Detroit was a championship team for years ago, Denver (not hating son, I love them) is the NBA’s ultimate AAU team. They aren’t good enough to have 25% of the West’s All Stars. Why the hell are you smoking this early son?

  7. oldfed says:

    four years ago…it’s early

  8. ??? says:

it’s obvious TDub didn’t make that last dunk, but that dude is sick.
I can barely dunk on the bottom of the net

  9. ??? says:

…and everyone can still hate on Manu all they want, but the dude NEVER misses a free throw in crunch time. Ask Amare about crunch time free throws

  10. YOUNGFED says:

4 years would be a couple years ago and if you got something to say use your real name son don’t be a coward. We all know who your are anyway.

But back to basketball Camby not making the allstar game is BS. WHAT THE FIZZUCK (LOL).

  11. Amar says:

manu – flopping = hersey hawkins / dell curry / jeff hornacek. happy ???

denver with 3 allstars = one more allstar than the best team in the L = unreasonable

I’m glad david west got in, either he or tyson should have been there to represent.

  12. alex says:

“4 years would be a couple years ago”

A couple of years ago is EXACTLY two years ago.

Detroit could’ve had 5 all stars that year since they were the best team in the league. Not exactly the same case for Denver. The Nuggets can win without either Melo or AI, but will stink without Camby

  13. YOUNGFED says:

Who’s the best team in the league? definitely not the Spurs right now.

  14. YOUNGFED says:

Since when did this become a grammer room a “couple of years” is what I say it is dude beat it. Also you just proved my case why the should have Camby although I don’t agree with the Melo AI comment.

  15. Str8baller says:

    fuck that

Manu – flopping= lefty Rex Chapman or a better Rex Walters

    nuff said

  16. Thamilan says:

I noticed Youngfed always makes grammar mistakes or doesn’t know the meaning of simple words. We should make a rule, 15 years old and up.

  17. Thamilan says:

I have a feeling YOUNGFED learns his english from Smack writers and the comments. Especially since we always correct him and explain the meaning of certain words.

  18. Sith Lord 24 says:

During the Mavs/Boston Game highlights on TNT Barkley said Dirk makes him sick!!! after Rondo got the rebound on him and the put back. he was like thats whats wrong with Dirk, Dirk should have thrown his ass into the 1st row.

    CLASSIC

  19. YOUNGFED says:

Thamilan your still sore about my comments from last year dude grow up and let go you always on the band wagan. If you call that being corrected I call it being petty. But really dude this the last time I comment on a hater.

  20. YOUNGFED says:

PS Thamilan it wasn’t me that called you racist last year it was the WHOLE ROOM.

  21. Prof. TX says:

The end of the Mavs/Celtics game kept showing the same reaction shots of the Boston bench getting all excited (including a creepy looking Pollard), but all I could see in the replays was the chick in cap who looked like Eva Longoria sporting some double-D’s.

  22. bliz289 says:

Prof. TX – nice spot! i’m right there with ya.

  23. YOUNGFED says:

    yeah she was HOT!!!

  24. Prof. TX says:

Seriously, courtside in Boston seems to have it’s perks.

  25. ??? says:

if that 3 way trade for Kidd goes down, I like it (except for the Nets who instantly become “Knicks II”)

it would be hard to let go of Devin Harris, who is young and improving. but Kidd is PROVEN, and still improving (for being an older dude in b-ball years). I like it. it’s worked for the Celts.

…and imagine the Blazers with Harris, Roy, Aldridge, Webster and Oden as a base for the next 5-6 years. Sheeeiitt

  26. smity says:

um, i wouldnt object to having three players from denver be at the allstar game. it shouldnt matter that they are only seventh in the west. the game’s purpose is to showcase the players having the best years and biggest impacts on their teams right?

i dont think that it would be weird to see only one sun at the game. the players having the best years at each position should be given the most consideration (however, i do agree with what van gundy said before about players on sub 500 teams not being given the nod to go and if they are voted to go they at least should not be starting…and i may be contradicting myself…maybe.) and camby is having an all star year.

im surprised that the coaches felt that josh smith was less deserving of an all star spot than joe johnson.

do you all think that they too are susceptible to going along with the “popular vote”? if so that may also serve to explain why an amare gets the nod over camby.

i think that baron should have definately been there. but i guess david west got his spot…

  27. smity says:

——also–wheres the link at to the video of marshall looking silly and bron and the bench laughin at him. that must have been funny…

  28. Bron42 says:

see this is what i mean by homers, manu flops but instead of sayin “ya i guess manu flopped” the manu homers point the finger at amare lol. Has anyone found the sniper yet that obviously took manu out for him to rightfully fall like that? next were gonna have the dirk homers come back with the “ya they lost and he wasnt clutch again but hes still the best tall shooter ever” speeches.

Rudy was missin the 360 between the legs dunk back in high school so i love how people use his offer to just try and get some pub for themselves lol.

who knows, maybe marshall was stickin it to david stern about the dress code by boycotting his game gear? i bet if he had deshawn stevensons type tatto he could of still went in and no one would of noticed.

  29. QQ says:

That kid has hops, but he doesn’t have the elevation (maybe because he’s 5-9)that makes you scream WOW when you watch a dunker. Nate’s 5-5, and he HAS that kind of lift. Sorry T-dub, but, meh.

  30. Ian says:

whatever it takes to win bron
a flop and all the free throws
and what happens the spurs win

  31. GEE...from post to post baby? says:

I can’t even front Dirk was real flaccid last night. I mean granted Posey was D’ing him up real good. Still he look so confused and lost in trying to get around Posey. I am sitting their with my wife thinking surely out of all the moves he has he can come up with a better one than an ugly fade away he forced.
My wife, who don’t even watch ball a lot but knows the game, was like “Oh my gosh can he not create his own shot!?!?”.
As much as I have defended Dirk in the past I must say last night he 1. Looked like he didn’t really want it in crunch time 2. looked confused 3. has to deliver regardless of who’s D’ing him up.

Speaking of other Mavs, Their lil’ coach is going to have to come up with better crunch time plays, cause the ish he was drawing up last night was booboo.

If this is honestly Rudy’s strategy, I am not feeling it. How about you just go in the lab with some of your crew and get to creating. Has the contest gotten to the point where you invite fans to try to give you something?
    Lame.

I have to say if LeBron ever got hurt I honestly can’t see Clev. winning any games at all. They are souuuuurrrrr!

    J. Vaughn manages to stay in the L with that weak-as-water game of his. Amazing.

  32. Myrie says:

Nash and Amare made the AllStar game and Shawn Marion didn’t. See….this is the reason he wanted out over the summer.

I thought the NBA was going to give out technicals for flopping? Drawing fouls in this league is an art (we all know this), but just flopping is ridiculous and it cheapens the game.

Jacque Vaughn’s jumper is still more reliable than Jason Kidd’s.

Marcus Camby is not going to the allstar game. I few months back, DIME had the Top10 week by position. I listed Camby as #1 when it came to centers. Many of you laughed (even you Bron; but I can’t blame any of you). And now….some are crying outrage that Camby is not going to the ASG.

The NBA wants to reward winning; so players on teams with winning records will get the nod for the allstar game. Coaches emphasize defense, but didn’t select defensive players like: Marcus Camby, Josh Smith nor Baron Davis for the allstar game. Where is the justice in consistency?

  33. smity says:

so then my question remains: are the coaches going with “the popular vote” in regards to some of the selections…(joe johnson, amare, etc…) or are they honestly believing that players like camby, smith baron, etc. arent more deserving of 07-08 roster spots?

  34. . says:

    .

  35. Celts Fan says:

smity, I thought the coaches went against what was popular vote and went with production (other than maybe Amare, but I’m guessing Chandler and Camby split votes in the “anti-Amare, good defensive center” camp.)

Is Antawn Jamison the popular vote? How about David West? Joe Johnson? The answer to all of the above is no. I like what the coaches did here and I feel like they didn’t go with the popular vote, otherwise guys like Ray Allen and Shawn Marion (deserving, but got caught up in a numbers game) would be on the team (for the record, I agree and don’t think Ray’s an all-star this year.)

  36. Mike C says:

I hate to say it, but its time for Odom to go. He plays hard all the time and does have some good skills, but his game simply doesn’t mesh with Kobe or the triangle. If Odom had ANY impact on the offense last night, the Lakers would have easily pulled away from Detroit. But Lamar just couldn’t come through, and that seems to be the case more often than not.. I think the Lakers have to include him in a package, if they’re serious about acquiring Kidd. A package of Odom, Farmar, and a draft pick should trump any offer currently on the table for Kidd.

  37. Bron42 says:

Ian, you cant say whatever it takes to win, ask roger clemens. stop makin excuses for your guy bein shady. Flopping is bad, its been proven, to the point where its SUPPOSED to earn a Tech now days, so u cant say whatever it takes to win without acceptin that manu is a dirty player than since hes breakin the rules to win. If someone punches him in the balls on a cluttered play but durin the press conference goes “hey whatever it takes to win” you’d be callin for that guys head. homer logic once again lol.

  38. ash says:

wtf are yall talking aboug. mavs lose that game by 20 if dirk dosent score 15 in a row. yea he missed TWO shots in the 4th, but it was JET that forced a few shots and JET who threw the ball away that posey got.

  39. dagwaller says:

Personally, I think that Marion should’ve gone instead of Amare. Amare’s been good, but for his position, Chandler and Camby have been just as good. Meanwhile, Marion continues to defy comparison (along with AK and Josh Smith) of the SF position.

  40. dagwaller says:

Two things. First of all, Dirk catches more heat than anyone going for 31 pts, 11 rebs, 6 asts, and 3 blocks than anyone I’ve ever heard of. When Lebron does that, he’s “amazing” and is “carrying his team”. He got swept by the Spurs, too. Dirk…DIDN’t get swept by the Spurs. HIS team’s other best player, Josh Howard, went 6-15, 19 pts, 6 rebs, 2 asts, and 1 block. If only Howard had made ONE MORE of those shots. Damn, dude must suck. Didn’t he know that it was a big game? Dude’s not clutch.

Also, flopping is NOT A TECHNICAL FOUL. Making stuff up is now a technical foul, though, and if you do it twice in one day, you’ll not be allowed to post for the rest of the day. Hater logic lol.

  41. doc says:

If I was Clemens I woulda took steroids if they was gonna give up 50 mil for half a season. Manu flops but the Spurs win Its not no different than Rodman. Timmy showed his MVP form last night. He willed them to that win. He challenged damn near every shot in the 4th and made every assist.

  42. Celts Fan says:

dagwaller, you’re right, flopping isn’t a technical, BUT last year the NBA did mention to the press that they were going to look into making it one in the offseason, but must’ve decided it was too tough to enforce and decide what was actually a flop versus a guy getting bowled over. Too much gray area I guess…

  43. GEE...from post to post baby? says:

Myrie comparing J. Vaughns Jumper to Kidds is like comparing Ben Johnson to Marion Jones…Sure they both can run fast but they both was on them substances too lol. Both of their offensive games or horrid lol.

Dirk can score 50 points, have 20 rebounds, 10 assist, 5 blocks, 4 steals and 1 turnover ….and if your can’t get it done for your team during the crunch then it’s all for not. Especially when they are looking for you to carry them.

It’s one thing to get it done during these bologna games against scrubs and stuff. I am talking playoffs, I am talking when the world is watching, I am talking when you going up against the elite.

First off regardless of what the JET did, no one ever calls the team JET’s team do they? It known as Dirk’s team. Who were they swinging the ball to in the crunch, not JET but Dirk. Dirk for all his efforts did not come through, and looked horrible in his attempt at trying.

Then it wasn’t JET that got outrebounded by a lil @$# guard for a board and a put back?

That one play alone, mind you that Dirk could have stopped, just hurts Dirk’s credibility.

I dare anyone to try to argue that play, Dirk messed up on all accounts in that play. I have defended Dirk in that past but when you supposedly the man for your squad and it comes time for you to represent (see LeBron James) you got to come through. Dirk did not!

Manu stop floppin and man up!

  44. isotope says:

floppin is bad when dude doesnt even get touched. However if you get hit and you want the foul you gotta make it obvious that you got hit. How many charges have you seen called where the defender didnt fall? Very few. I guarantee you if the defender stays on his feet he’s most likely called for a defensive foul. The refs don’t have bionic vision and you gotta make it obvious for them to see it. Flopping has been part of the game for YEARS. Karl Malone was one of the worst, I used to hate him and Stockton in thte 90s. But he was smart. Even tho people called him a flopper, he kept doing it because it worked. Same with Manu. I aint his biggest fan but I don’t blame him. Plus he’s from Argentina, a soccer country.

  45. Big Aaron says:

As much as I like Camby as a player in a league team, he’s not an All-Star player. The ASG is not about defense. People want high flying and rim-shaking dunks, sick crossovers and showboating, not a defensive stopper. The result is pretty much redundant with the watching audience. I respect Camby a hell of a lot for coming back from injuries, being a complete defensive animal and looking like Dr Dre, but his stomping ground is NOT the All-Star Game.

That said, one of the most skillful, flashiest players in the game, Baron Davis, gets snubbed. Fair play, they’ve already got Nash, Paul and AI, but what’s to say that Baron couldn;t have been named? He’s got a similar game to AI, so the whole “don’t need any more point guards” line doesn’t cut it. Baron can play the two just like AI can, and probably more effectively due to his hops etc.

I’m also pissed about my boy Hedo getting snubbed but at least at means that he’ll be fresh for the ‘offs run-in. Dwight will be there to collect the MVP to sit alongside the dunk contest and represent the Magic well enough.

    Peace, from the UK

“Is Antawn Jamison the popular vote? How about David West? Joe Johnson? The answer to all of the above is no. I like what the coaches did here and I feel like they didn’t go with the popular vote, otherwise guys like Ray Allen and Shawn Marion”

jamison is a more popular vote than a josh smith or gerald wallace or calderon or even a hedo.

David West gets in mostly because of his play but also because his coach is coaching the game and has say in the matter.

joe johnson is a more popular vote than the people i mentioned were less popular than jamison.

i’m not that cool with the decision to leave baron off for roy (the blog argument convicned me to feel even more un cool about it)

  47. K-Dizzle says:

    Big Aaron

Actually Camby did deserve to go to the all-star game. He just got caught up in the numbers game cuz you really can’t justify 3 Nugs in the game, but on the point of defensive dudes in the game, yeah he deserved to go. He’s more important to his team than melo or ai cuz even kleiza dropped 40. If you a hoophead, you should recall when dikembe and the 4 dwarfs beat the west that year when they got down like 20 in the asg and a lineup of steph, ai, vince and t-mac along with dik rebounding and blockin shots brought em back for the win. Camby got screwed…..but not as bad as my man, Boom. I like B-Roy, but c’mon, this was Baron’s year. Numbers and standings show that.

    Mike C
You need to step back, kid. Lakers lose to the best team out east (sorry boston) maybe even in the league by one and you ready to give up LO, Farmar and picks for Kidd? You think Kidd woulda won that game last night? You need to relax.Lake fans knew it was gonna be rough till Bynum got back. We DON’T NEED Kidd. We had the best record out west just 2-3 weeks ago. Detroit ain’t some chump team; you don’t just pull away from them. They won on a wide open j from tayshaun that even Jacque vaughn coulda hit…..scratch that. Lamar’s versatility is exactly what the triangle calls for, Farmar’s comin into his own and this upcomin summer is not the year to be givin up draft picks

  48. K-Dizzle says:

    WHAT????Oh shit. I’ll take Gasol….Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  49. UncheckedAggression says:

The biggest snub was Baron Davis. Not cool. I like Brandon Roy but Davis tears up basically every point guard he matches up against. Roy will also have plenty of years to make the All Star team, while Davis won’t have many more opportunities. It’s a shame.

  50. Ian says:

    bron wtf??? clemens
thats hater logic what u just said comparing steroids
    to flopping
manu did get hit but like iso mentioned u gotta let the refs know somehow
    rodman did it
    malone did it
divac i think still does it
    steroids illegal
flopping to get game winning free throws is smart
and if u read all the posts here we are all homers and there are 2 haters

when the league makes it a rule not to flop then compare it to something illegal
hate all u want well keep getting the wins

  51. Ian says:

    gasol lakers

  52. dagwaller says:

I don’t like flopping, but it’s just how the rule on charging is written.

I wasn’t talking about JET, I was talking about Howard. I wonder whose man Rondo was? I’m not going to argue that one play, but there are a lot of plays in a game leading up to the last one, and if Dirk makes all of those, and no one else steps up at the end of the game (or during the game, apparently), how is it on him?

I’m not necessarily comparing the two, but did anyone blame Kobe for the Lakers losing for the past few years? No. It was Kobe’s team, but his team just wasn’t good enough.

Btw, the Mavs are doing well enough to have one of the best records in the League right now, so…how can you complain?

  53. Celts Fan says:

Smity – Byron Scott actually isn’t allowed to vote for his own players, so those votes came from other team’s coaches. And there was no Manu Ginobili or Baron Davis (in favor of Brandon Roy, who isn’t more popular than either of those 2 stars, and to be fair, Steve Nash, who is)

I don’t consider Antawn Jamison or Joe Johnson a popular vote either. They may be more of one than Crash or JSmooth, but that’s like saying David Eckstein has a higher chance of ‘roiding than me. It may be true, but both are sooo far down the line, it’s unlikely either would (or in this case, that either was the popular vote.) I definitely think Calderon and Josh Smith should be on over Joe Johnson and Antawn, but I don’t think it’s an issue of the popular vote. Both Joe Johnson and Antawn have helped lead (though I think JSmooth contributes more all around to the Hawks) very surprising teams to respectable records.

  54. smity says:

it would have been nice to see gerald wallace get the national respect he deserves for working and playing his ass off. they should consider doing a “notable snubs” vs. “all star team” game…that would be crazy exciting to watch. cats with chips on their shoulders and equally talented playing against cats who want to prove that they belong there over those that werent chosen. NBA, get me that game ASAP

  55. Ian says:

    smity
i want usa vs world game

    amare
    kg
    lebron
    bryant
    paul

    vs

    yao
    duncan
    dirk
    manu
    nash

  56. Ian says:

well maybe because of the match up i wouldnt want dirk anywhere near guarding lebron
so id take yao out of the starting lineup

    duncan
    dirk
    ak
    manu
    nash

  57. smity says:

as interesting as that looks i think the us would win hands down. nash cant gaurd paul. manu cant guard kobe. andre can’t guard bron (not the way he’s been playing). dirk can;t stick kg and tim can’t keep up with amare (if he has his mind right…)

  58. snook says:

i wonder if manu was really hurt.. did anyone from the spurs bench rush to “check in” the game? LMAO

  59. Ian says:

    well smity
the us wont win hands down, (but here everyone from the us will say the will and anybody whos not will pick the international team) like in the 2004 olympics.
nobody can really guard anybody one one of either team
    ill take the international team
and tim cant keep up with amare???? have u seen any spur vs suns game
if amare could at least play timmy to a draw the suns could win a game vs the spurs

  60. smity says:

ian, i’m kinda still living in the past. i remember when amare was givin tim buckets buckets and more buckets in the playoffs (i think his second year). i’m waiting for that pre injury amare to come back.

i disagree. i think that no one on that international squad can check a u.s player but that the u.s team could check the international squad…

nash definately can’t guard paul. dirk definately can’t stop kg. as good as andre is bron will give him the business. kobe will get buckets and lock down manu. and etc. etc. but it’s all hypothetical.

  61. Ian says:

is i understand, but when your gettin a love tap and you blow it out of proportion like you just got destroyed, therefore baiting the refs to make a call they shouldnt make, its wrong. I wasn’t talkin about steriods with clemems. I was saying wrong is wrong. sure, it helps the spurs win but we all kno flopping is wrong. AND every person you named, rodman, malone, etc…are considered dirty players.

Iso: hater logic? please, i’m not even hating. its homer logic cuz a few of you, actually its more like 3, constantly stick up for bitch ass guys and have excuse after excuse on why the stuff they do wrong is perfectly fine. manu could go mike tyson and bite someones ear off and someone on here the next day would be like “oh well it helped them win and manu is a winner yadda yadda” I’m not hating on manu, i’m statin the obvious, so its not me bein a hater its me bein a realist. hes a ok player in a good system who takes advantage of the refs.
