This is what’s going on outside the Dime office right now as the Giants parade is rolling right by our building. Needless to say, the neighborhood’s a zoo today…
i heard that Giselle B had made a bet that if the Pats lost, she would streak through Times Square……needles to say, i dont think she will hold up her end of the deal.
These comments sound like they are a bitter reaction to the L by a bunch of pats fans in the office. Don’t be mad because we are a better team and dominated you on both sides of the ball. Jed its a good thing you didn’t man up and take the bet I put on the table. I had a drivers cap for you and everything. Man up next time…
Sounds like some trash talking going on in the office. All the Giants reps in there better make sure u give the Pats fans all they can handle cause u know we would hav never heard the end had it been the other way around.
Not bitter, just funny observations. and I’ll give you that you won the game, but to say you’re the “better team” is a joke. Not that it matters at all, but the best team lost on Sunday (and for the record, I didn’t bring that crap up. I was just making funny throw-away lines about your great “New York” team playing in the armpit of America.) You won fair and square, but to call yourselves “the best team” when it was clearly up in the air until there was under a minute left is pretty funny. Unfortunately though, you won the only 1 that matters, so congratulations and enjoy your parade. It should be in Jersey, but it’s been a while since you had to plan one, so I can understand the mistake. I think our parade budget’s been more than exceeded these past few years here in Boston, so enjoy your first of the decade. A little late to the party, no?
What? You don’t appreciate the back-handed compliments that littered those past few posts?
For real though, I only considered us the best team in 3 of the 4 SuperBowls (the Rams were the best team in ‘01) but that doesn’t mean crap afterwards except that you lived up to the hype or you failed (guess where I put this year’s Pats.) You guys have a ring, you played a GREAT game, that, were it not for a few redzone penalties and turnovers, could have been much worse for my beloved Patriots. It’s always good to see HOF’ers and other established stars get their ring. It’s the city you (pretend to) play in and the last name of your redneck QB that makes it harder to handle. Either way, enjoy the parade, the ring, and the off-season. You were a part of history that’s tough to get over even with our other 3 rings, but it’s easier to take knowing we got outplayed and, other than the one really perplexing decision to go for it on 4th and 13 instead of kicking a 50 yd. FG (you guys must’ve LOVED that one, what happened to our “genius” coach?) we left nothing on the field and just outright lost.
Here’s hoping Osi holds out for a cap-crippling extension and Eli goes to jail for beastiality (he likes horsies)
yeah yeah yeah…
stop bein so mad Jed! what i really want to know is what night will you be babysitting?? i’ll make damn sure to feed Julien looooooooooooots of sugar
Giants fans, HONESTLY, did you see this coming from Eli? He’d had his moments, but did anyone really see him turning the corner like this? When it happened w/ Brady, no one could believe it until after the Rams game and we still had trouble getting our heads around it. This year, I guess we’re the Rams, so my question is, are you still thinking, “Wow, where’d THAT come from?” or did you see it in Eli all along? I understand the rest of your team is really good (we were all legitimately worried about your D line, running game, and Plax) but everyone here thought Eli would be your downfall (as I’m sure people in St.L were thinking, “Who the hell is this Brady guy and how can they hang with our offense?” back in ‘01.) I guess my question is, did you guys think (and see ahead of time with anything he’d done on the field) that Eli could be this good? Do you think he goes back to the inconsistency that plagued his career before the end of this year or has he turned the corner? Are you truly comfortable with him as your long-term starter for the next decade? I’m not trying to talk ish here at all (did plenty of that in earlier posts!) just want to gauge what you guys are realistically thinking. Good run of games or a sign he’s turned the corner?
Pitchers and catchers in 9 days, Celtics later tonight. This stuff can’t come fast enough!
Celts honestly you can’t “just” look at him. Would I keep him as a starter? Most def.
Do I feel he will still have his horrible days? Most def. too.
Remember the wide receivers have to get TONS of credit. I almost look at it not as so much what Eli did as to what his recievers helped make happen.
The catch is way more remarkable than the throw. Sure the escape was great, but if you seen Randall Cunningham and John Elway you seen that before. Plus that was more on the defense “not” making a play more than him making one.
Don’t get me wrong Eli took what was given and made ish happen. So he gets credit for that. Still the Giants should have even scored more, and the Pats could have put the Giants away several times. Time and chance happens to us all and this game couldn’t have shown that more.
Did Eli turn a corner, naw he still gone be what we thought he was lol. With the game on the line tho if you don’t put dude away…Well even the sun shines on a dog’s behine.
