“We’ve Seen Him Do That a Few Times…”
Yesterday we hit you with THIS video of Zach Randolph‘s attempt at the worst play in NBA history. Today’s Knicks video belongs to Jamal Crawford for something equally ridiculous during last night’s win over Charlotte…

what the hell?
these guys are just trying to get Isiah fired (or have a bet as to who can do the most assanine thing in-game/how much they can get away with before he gets canned.)
there’s a time and place for that crap and it’s the all-star game. oh wait, you didn’t make the team? figure out why clown

If he woulda made it, it would have been neat. But it doesn’t stand up against Zach’s series of stupid decisions. Jamal made a bad play. Zach was smokin crack.

nick says:
i agree with the last comment, it would have been a good play if he had made it but zach’s decision was horrible. also crawford has completed that type of play before so it aint so bad of him to attempt that but he should have passed instead of trying that ish.

safe to say the Knicks are not playing “Team Ball” – You have to feel bad to any team that loses to them.

If he had made it, it would have been the highlight of the night. Some players are more focused on getting on Sportscenter than playing fundamentally.
To me, it’s no different from a player taking a low-percentage fade-away jumper or an ill-advised three pointer in transition. It’s great if it goes in, but makes the player look stupid when it doesn’t.
I’m a Warriors fan, and I see S-Jack and BD jacking up threes all the time, but that’s their style of play, and you have to live with it, whether it goes in or not.
I see nothing wrong with what Crawford did. He almost made it, and how many times have we seen players miss easy layups or hit back rim on a dunk attempt? There’s not much difference between the two.

We’ll look back moments like this years from now and realize this was “tanking-to-win-the-lottery” at its finest (or worst).

Funny line from some article I came across yesterday:
“The Knicks are doing so bad, that pretty soon the entire roster will need to be sent to the CBA. Oh wait, Isaiah screwed THAT up, too…”

This one has nothing on the Zbo play. Still kind of amusing though. Long Live Lord Isiah, may he rule the Knicks forever!

Zeke got footage on his cell phone of Dolan at Steph’s annual baller party smoking gangsta with some hoes with him in a awkward position.

Celts Fan says:
how long does this circus have to continue before they can his ass? dude should’ve been fired years ago.
this is like that desperate dude we all knew in high school or college that fell in love with and kept dating the school skank. everyone laughed at him, but he stayed together with her. didn’t matter what she did, he was in love and was not leaving regardless of something like common sense or the fact there was no good long-term possibilities, only STDs. Isiah’s the skank, Dolan’s the chump, we’re the one’s laughing behind their backs, and the basketball they’re forcing us to watch is the STD. Someone get Dolan to a clinic!

In defense of JC, he’s done that play 4 times and that’s the first time he’s missed it and really, nobody cares anymore. You know the mindframe was, If I make it then good, if I miss we up 11 anyways…

they ain’t firing isaiah, I’m tellin yall he has some blackmail typa shit on the front office, he ain’t goin no where. The most classic Zeke moment was I think last weekend when he called a crucial time out and didn’t even talk to the team at all. If this is what he can get away with as head coach, obviously there’s some shit we don’t know about.

oh and JC making this dunk in a game > howard doing it in the dunk contest

I think the Knicks have a good team. They just don’t have a real leader out there. They are just a bunch of Indians looking for a real chief to guide them.

this ain’t nothin…yo Word…dude DID make this in a game at LEAST a couple times…and check the score; cats were up by more than a few…it was silly at worst, but not THAT bad.

Seen this before with Jamal, it wasn’t that serious, they were up big anyways.

how does a horrible play like this go down in the stat sheet?
0-2 FGA 1 RB
or
1 TO?
February 29th, 2008 at 2:45 am
tealish says:
Now why would it go down as a turnover…?
I think 0-2FGA 1RB is a possibility, but in all likelihood it’s probably just 0-1FGA because the self-lob was pretty obvious.

I’m far from old-fashioned with this type of thing, but I think you guys are missing the point. It’d be really cool if he threw it down and it entertains me and people like us, but it’s about respect for your opponent, your team, your coach, and most importantly, the game itself.
