Game counts. If you’re in a head-to-head league, you have to pay attention to the game counts more than ever. Before you make a deal or sign a free agent that you need to fill in for an injury look ahead and check the playoff game counts for any player you are about to acquire.

Now here are some of the players making big fantasy news…

AK-47 - That was a pretty dramatic moment last night but it looks like AK is OK. He’s listed as day-to-day but I’d guess will be good to go for next week. This week could be very shaky. If you’re in a daily league, Paul Milsap is back on your radar. Stay tuned though.

Dorrell Wright - He’s done for the year and will probably go into next season as a guy who will probably be a popular late-round sleeper.

Gilbert Arenas - He’s getting there. You’ll probably see him in action within the next 10-14 days. That being said, if you can afford to bench him for his first week back, I’d do it. If you’re in a playoff format, and you’ve been counting on Gil, you should be good to go.

Elton Brand - I’m a Brand owner and if I get him back, I think I win. if I don’t, it will be much harder. It looks more and more like it will be much harder. If you’re the Clips would you play Brand this season? Right. The good news is that he wants to play. We’ll know within a week I’d guess.

Chris Andersen - The Birdman is back! Anderson will be reinstated tomorrow and is expected to sign with the Hornets. He won’t play meaningful minutes this season.

Sam Cassell - We’ve gone over this before, but I really see him playing a limited role with the C’s until the playoffs. 20 minutes and some 4th quarter action is my guess for now.
