On Monday night, the Knicks trailed the Pacers 81-79 going into the 4th quarter. After scoring 16 points during the first three quarters, Jamal Crawford didn’t see a single minute during the final period. After Zach Randolph hit a 15-footer to tie the game 83-83 at the 8:37 mark, he was taken out of the game for good. Jared Jeffries and Mardy Collins both played 24 minutes.
“It’s obvious we’re not trying to win now,” one Knicks veteran told Newsday.
When Isiah Thomas was asked about his crunch-time lineup of Collins, Jeffries, Renaldo Balkman, Fred Jones and Randolph Morris, he said: “I wanted to see how they would compete.” The Pacers outscored the Knicks 29-19 in the 4th.
Before this week, Morris had only played in four games all season. Including Sunday’s loss to Atlanta, Morris has played 24 minutes in the last two games.

Y does everyone sweat the KNicks but yet still they all say they hate da Knicks. People know more about the knick than they do their own team. (they got deep down crush on the knicks and only wish their team could have our fan base)

People know more about the Knicks because, being in New York City, they get more media coverage than just about every other team in the league. It’s not a matter of being a fan, it’s that so many writers are covering them and if you’re one of us that tends to read articles on alot of sites, you’ll see alot of Knick stories.

I understand that btu y am I reading about the KNicks in the Dallas. Lakers. Miami papers, etc. I can understand the seeing them on sportcenter since thats national and they are a big market but I live in Miami and trust em when I say this. People hear always talk about how much they hate the Knicks, Mets, Yankees, Jets ,etc but they know everythign about those teams sometimes more than me and more than their own team and I can always expect to see something about the Knicks in the Miami Herald or Sun-Sentinel. Im not complaining cause 1 one to know ur teams means something is when they can be one of the worst teams in the league (they not the worst they can be middle to bottom doesnt matter) but get more pub than the worst and the best teams.. just find it funny

Isiah Thomas ain’t slick at all, when this time of the season rolls around and the team stinks, he’ll tank games by letting these young players start & finish games, while there best are ridin the pine. He’s hoping for that lottery pick that will be the face & save this horrible team. So I know that Zeke has his knees bowed everynight hoping that Beasley or Rose Fall into NEW YORK’S Arms.

Only way the Knicks get better is to clean house. Isiah is a terrible GM. Might not be a bad coach, but nobody could coach that group of players in NY. They need a personnel overhaul, but ever since Isiah’s been there, their personnel problems and their salary cap situation just keeps getting worse. If they can get their salary cap down by either dumping players or letting their horrible contracts expire, they might have some room to improve. Until they do, they’ll be a joke. They’re obviously waiting for some saviour who they can build around. Maybe if they get a real PG, they can start that process.
