We came across this on a web site called “Buge Hoobs,” so judge the accuracy of all the info with that in mind. The post takes a look at all of the owners of NBA teams in the Western Conference and breaks down how each guy (or group) amassed the monstrous amount of capital it takes to purchase an NBA franchise.
Some of the stories are kind of crazy, from marrying rich (Stan Kroenke of the Nuggets), to buying and selling entire colleges (George Shinn of the Hornets), to you know, founding Microsoft (Paul Allen of the Blazers).
