Remembering Len Bias
A brand new documentary about the late, great Len Bias is close to completion. Go to the film’s official site to watch the trailer and to learn a little bit about the man his coach and teammates at Maryland called “Horse.” He could have been one of the game’s greats if he had the chance …
We’ll be all over this doc for our readers and will hit you with more info and reviews as the release draws closer.

DJ Leon Smith says:
Wow, no love for Len Bias? Where are all the comments? His death was the greatest basketball tragedy of the modern era. I type this while I’m in my Maryland #34 jersey too.

GEE... Cold on em! says:
Len Bias was supposed to happen and we never got to fully see what would have become.
For those that got a glimpse he is missed.
I hate when we (families, fans and others) are robbed early of what can possibly be great. Even if it’s not great, it’s life none-the-less.
None the less.

Not even makin this up. Dime got some mind readers on staff.
I just finish watchin some Len Bias hi-lites on google video, checkin out the game vs. UNC when he scored, copped a quick steal off the inbounds, then reversed it at the Dean Dome to beat em, listenin to those in the know sayin LB was a bigger, stronger, more advanced MJ. Then I switch up to the Dime website and there’s a story about LB….damn

No disrespect to Len but they said that about Harold Minor too.

Great talent, but most Boston fans swear he was the 2nd coming of the lord. I watched him play (damn I’m old) and I would have to say that he may have helped them in the late 80′s but by the time he got into his prime mid to late 20′s the wheels had already fallen off of the big 3. Not to speak ill of the dead but every year we see guys who are clutch in college but don’t have that x factor to make them a good pro.
5 guys who I thought could ball
John Wallace – Cuse
Adam Morrison – Zags
Laettner – Duke
Miles Simon – Zona (I thought he would be a much better pro than Bibby)
Todd Day/Lee Maybury – Terps – Together these guys were something special, apart from each other they were nothing more than the 1st pick in a park rec game

K-Dizzle says:
Comparin Miner to Len Bias is disrespect and to Mike as we now know, is straight blasphemy. The only comparison with MJ and Miner was that they both could jump out the gym and both had shaved heads. It ends there.
Comin outta college with that physique and a jumpshot with that mean streak and those hops, dude was a can’t miss and I don’t see how whether the Celts were gonna be good in dude’s prime has anything to do with how good LB was gonna be. Reggie Lewis was carryin that squad when the big 3 were runnin on fumes and he did alright
