‘Tap the Baby’
You’ve got to get on High School Hoop to check out the VIDEO of DeMar DeRozan‘s rendition of Dwight Howard‘s contest-clinching tap-the-backboard slam. DeRozan calls his ‘Tap the Baby.’
The 6-6 swingman from Compton High (Compton, Calif.) has a 45-inch vertical on full display during the McDonald’s All-American contest. ‘Tap the baby’ is impressive, but his between-the-legs reverse gave everybody in the arena bug eyes. No wonder he’s been pegged as the top pick in the 2009 draft after playing a year at USC.
