1-on-1 Tournament: Championship Bracket
Photo. Gary LandIf you’ve been following our 1-on-1 tournament since the beginning, than you won’t be surprised to see Brandon Roy still kicking. The last two rounds of the fan-vote-driven tourney have been a source of mild controversy surrounding B-Roy, who assisted by some loyal Blazers fans, cruised past Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony on his way to the championship bracket. While we listened to the A.I. and ‘Melo backers and checked for anything shady (we even brought in Dime’s 1-on-1 expert to get his opinion), the vote was pretty clean; it was simply a matter of Roy’s fans coming through and showing their support.
So here we are. We’ve seeded each division’s winner 1-6, with the top two (#1 Kobe and #2 LeBron) getting a bye into the next round. The rules: Straight 1-on-1, make it-take it, games to 11 (by ones and twos), all hypothetical. Vote in the comments section to determine the Western Conference winners:

Roy’s run is over because of a bigger and agile enough K.G.
We all know a healthy none injured Tracy is right up there with Kobe and LeBron. Defense wise 1 on 1 Tracy would lock Gil down.

What else is interesting is that K.G. could very well face LeBron in the playoffs at some point.
Also, with the seeding right now, I think Tracy would go against Kobe.
Of course you got the team involved but still I am sure some plays will provide a glimpse of what many would love to see for real…a 1 on 1 tourney.

If anybody says Roy will beat KG in a one-on-one, he should be banned from posting. No matter how disciplined you are on defense, there’s just no way you can guard somebody 5+ inches taller than you when they back you down each and everytime. Period.
