There’s A “Green Out” Tonight

They will be handing out these t-shirts tonight in Boston for Game 5 of the Celtics/Hawks series for everyone who enters the building. The goal is to create a “green out” in the stands in Beantown.

Hopefully for the C’s these shirts will give them the ability to get the ball out of JJ’s and J-Smooth’s hands! lol I’m a Laker fan but “Go Hawks”!

A green out…that is going to look ugly and memorable.
Boston really should be sending the L heads cards and gifts for not suspending KG.
Wonder why they always do game suspensions and not by halfs or quarters. Just thinking sometimes a dude should be suspended for the 1st quarter or first half of a game. Just a different way of attacking problems that are not worth a whole game. Just a thought?

@ Suciniac
Good call – they definitely were planning on saving the shirts.
@ GEE
Interesting – like how a coach won’t start a player if he misses practice or something. Same concept, why not have partial-game punishments. I like it.

bliz it would work and still get a good message across. The l is quick to go into a players pockets and I understand that money goes to charity I think, but outside of that quarter and half suspensions would make games crazy.
I mean instead of tossing players how bad is it that you still have to be in the arena and watch while you can’t play. Not to mention you visibly hurt your team and possibly give another team motivation to make a run.
At the same time when you get to go back in, you have had time to calm down, and it’s not like you gone get crazy again if you have help blow a lead your team had or something. You also come in focused on catching up.
Yea the more I think on it I am feeling it would work.

So the Celts game is going to be looking like a bowl full of salad. I’m fine with that. At least they didn’t give the crowd goddamn little white maracas like in San Antonio last night. I thought my TV was busted, kept hearing static until I noticed the static shaking to the beat of “Jack and Diane”. Goddamn, San Antonio is lame.

I don’t think anything will beat the “Black Out” University of Georgia had against Florida this year. That was soooooo tight!
Hope teams with horrid colors never try this. Like Denver what will they have… a “Light Blue Out” Ewwwww!

where i’m from to ‘green out’ is to become physically ill after puffing too much mary jane..
also, bye bye avery.
also, how crazy would it be just to see KG’s face if the C’s somehow lose this series. What would his reaction be?
Would it confirm in peoples mind he can’t get it done when it matters?

I watched the first half of that game. Didn’t seem like very many people were wearing the green shirts.
Actually, the crowd seemed kind of bored at the game. Like they were at a Tampa Bay Rays vs. Kansas City Royals spring training game or watching a golf tournament or something. I thought the Celts were supposed to have a good home crowd.
