How West Won

IMAGE DESCRIPTIONPhoto. Mannion

Now, to be honest, we can’t really see LeBron ever getting into an actual fight in an NBA game. If it ever did go down though, it would probably be with DeShawn Stevenson. In fact, it almost boiled over yesterday afternoon when, towards the ends of the first half of Game 4 of their series, Stevenson came from behind on a James’ drive and smacked the headband right off LeBron’s head. ‘Bron kept his balance and he and Stevenson started towards each other before teammates stepped in. After the game LeBron said his teammates told him that DeShawn hit him with a closed fist (questionable) and he then told reporters (while employing excellent use of the third person): “If we was in the park, something definitely would have escalated. But, you know, I guess that’s what they want to do. They want to hurt LeBron James this series. It ain’t working.” … For DeShawn’s part, he wasn’t so much into talking about the incident, but did have this for the AP reporter who asked about the diss song about him that Jay-Z debuted at a D.C. club this weekend: “He’s worth $500 million, and he’s writing songs about me,” Stevenson said before tipoff. “What does that say about DeShawn Stevenson? Ballin’!” … As for the game itself, Delonte West wetted a three from the corner with a few seconds left in a tie game to give the Cavs the W and 3-1 stranglehold on the series. West had been burying shots all day long (21 points on 7-12 from the field, 5-8 from three) and it seemed like every time the Wiz doubled LeBron, they were conceding an open jumper for Delonte. On that last Cavs’ possession, the Wizards swarmed LeBron (34, 12 and 7 assists), leaving West wide open in the corner. James gave it up and Delonte drilled it. Considering that was the same shot Donyell Marshall was missing last year, we’d say that was a decent trade for the Cavs … When the Wizards look back at yesterday’s game, they’ll be haunted by their (lack of) rebounding. The Cavs just slaughtered them on the offensive glass, pulling down 18 offensive boards. Considering the fact that Washington only lost by three, if they boxed out at all, and kept Cleveland from racking up second-chance points, they probably win that game … Sunday’s second afternoon game wasn’t really much of a game at all, as the Suns found a pulse and came out and clocked the Spurs 105-96 to bring the series to 3-1. Phoenix blitzed San Antonio from the jump, outscoring the Spurs 34-13 in the first quarter. San Antonio didn’t look like they were really ready to get after it yesterday afternoon, something that Gregg Popovich clearly sensed as well, benching his starters from partway through the third quarter to the end of the game … If you’re a Raptors fan, this is enough to make you ill. In Peter Vecsey’s column in yesterday’s New York Post he dropped this about Sam Mitchell:

“The whispering campaign regarding Mitchell is supposedly he’s not a hard worker or on top of the league’s current events. A few months ago, before the Raptors were to play the Lakers, he addressed the team by telling them, ‘We’ll worry about the guy who got 81 in a second, but first I want to talk about Andrew Bynum and how he killed us last time.’ A hush engulfed the locker room. ‘Hey, coach,’ Chris Bosh interrupted. ‘Bynum’s been out for weeks with an injury.’”

If the Wizards are going to beat themselves up over not boxing out, the Sixers are going to spend the next few days thinking about all the turnovers and missed foul shots that cost them what would’ve been a HUGE win over the Pistons last night in Philly. The Sixers were up 10 on a lifeless Pistons team at the half; putting down the hammer at the start of the third quarter could have been enough to send the series back to Detroit 3-1, Philadelphia. Instead, by the time two minutes went off the clock in the third, the Pistons were only down one. A few Rasheed Wallace threes and a steady dose of Rip Hamilton jumpers right in Willie Green’s mug and the lead swelled to double-digits and there was no coming back for Philly … ‘Sheed got himself a T at the end of the first half and Mike Dunleavy (who was doing the color commentary last night) spent the rest of the night insisting that’s what ignited Detroit. Don’t you think they’ve seen the act so many times at this point that it doesn’t faze his teammates one bit? … One last Rasheed note for today: Did you pick up on the TNT microphones towards the end of the game when he was taunting the Philly fans? Chauncey Billups was shooting foul shots and ‘Sheed kept yelling at a bunch of fans something to the effect of “’83 is all your gonna get!” The last Sixers championship was in 1983. That’s especially cold coming from a Philly guy like Rasheed … It’s basically a wrap for the Mavericks at this point. They had a little momentum coming off their Game 3 win and came out last night and did their best to hit the Hornets with another haymaker on their home floor. New Orleans just shook off Dallas’ early energy and went about their business dismantling the Mavs in every aspect of the game, winning 97-84. It was much closer to a 20-piecing, but Jose Barea stuck a bunch of threes in garbage time … It’s funny, the Mavs clearly came out trying to play a more physical style of ball than we’re used to seeing from them, but they really don’t have anyone who can get to the rim on the regular. You can only be so physical when 90% of your shots are long jumpers. The Mavs only took 16 foul shots in the game … Dallas was playing hard, especially Dirk, who was doing his best to get his nose in everything. It just felt like the Mavs were in quicksand though. They’d battle on the offensive end to get a good look, but then at the other end of the floor, they were basically at the mercy of the Hornets’ offense. And any time you register ZERO points off your opponent’s turnovers, you’re going to be up against it … There was an incident in the second half where Jason Kidd was booted from the game for a flagrant 2 foul on Janerro Pargo. After the game in the TNT studio, Chris Webber pointed out that no one rushed over to really get Kidd’s back when tempers flared after the foul. “I wouldn’t want to play on Dallas and be in the trenches and have to have a player come watch my back,” said Webber. “I think the only person who would come up is Kidd or Stackhouse. I don’t want to take all that heat for another guy if no one’s going to come to my rescue.” … You know who’s most definitely not helping himself right now? Josh Howard. Going 3-14 from the floor for six points when his team needed him the most while the whole marijuana thing still fresh in everyone’s mind isn’t a good look. You could hear the home fans booing him … The mutiny continued as one fan was ejected from the arena for jawing with Mark Cuban. And as time wound down, the TNT cameras kept showing what looked like Cuban going back and forth with another fan. Did we mention this was in Dallas??? … We’re out like the Mavs’ home court advantage.

Too little too late for the Suns.
Deshawn Stevenson needs to fucking grown up.

  2. drewstar says:

lol..cuban getting heckled in his home arena hahah

  3. Borgs says:

    Eloquently put, sir (Duke).

I wonder if Cuban’s hecklers were giving Devin Harris a mention.

  4. Borgs says:

    kate,

I know we’ve had our problems in the past, but even the best relationships endure the odd breakdown in communication, and your latest message warms the cockles of my heart, what with its charm and mastery of the English language. Let’s hook up again for coffee. Or not.

Spam is truly ubiquitous these days eh, folks. Isn’t it so beguiling?

  5. What is this!? says:

The Sun is still about to set in Pheonix…

Why does Deshawn keep messing with Lebron? I mean I understand they are being competetive, but that foul he gave Bron was just cheap. And I am a big fan of Jay-Z…but he is too old to be getting involved with this school yard nonsense going on with Deshawn and Lebron. He really had a diss record with Deshawns name in it? Really Jay? Stop it already. LOL!

But Seriously… when the Cavs get to the second round, they may give the Celtics some problems. I remember that the Cavs played the Celtics hard each time they saw them this year. Now i’m not saying the Cavs will win the series…but I don’t think it will be an easy rout for the Celtics.

The Sixers won’t win one more game in this series against the Pistons…book it.

And Dallas is a all out hot mess right about now. I don’t think they win this series and I actually think they will lose the next game. This is a time where having Devin Harris would come in handy. He is fast enough to gaurd CP3 and is just as explosive. Somewhere in New Jersey Devin is laughing his @ss off.

  6. What is this!? says:

…oh yeah, and Delonte West is one weird looking dude.

  7. kb24! says:

Jay-Z and LeBron should go out.

  8. What is this!? says:

^^ LOL @ Kb24! I know right?! I’m starting to wonder if Jay-Z married Beyonce or Lebron?

  9. Borgs says:

I’m on to your little scheme, kb24!, but are you sure Beyonce would go for a guy like you? It won’t work otherwise.

  11. Suciniac says:

This whole Western conference playoffs has been a huge letdown so far except for that double overtime classic.I’m shoving my words down my throat right now.I said the West Conf will beat each other up and every series can go 7 games….who would have that it would be 2-2 between Philly/Pistons?? and Atlanta actually outplays Boston for at least one game.

    QUESTION
Which player do you think has been the biggest disappointment so far??I’m going with J-Kidd…..CP3 is speeding up his retirement plans.

  12. kobeef says:

    @dime
Josh Howard was bad but Iggy is also sucking eggs right now. Last night he was ouscored by THad Young (which I predicted) who played about 15 less minutes. People always said Iggy can’t shoot but this is getting stupid.

    @Suciniac
Kidd is bad but at least his contract is shorter than Shaq’s. The suns are going to sink the team with fat shaq and his fat contract.

Both trades really sucked but dallas gave up the most.

  13. Austin Burton says:

I was hoping Jay-Z was above getting involved in this LeBron/DeShawn feud … which is essentially also a feud between Jay and Soulja Boy … but I was wrong. So now when does Soulja Boy’s diss track come out. That should be 4 minutes of pure genius.

@Youngfed – From what I gather from my high school-age cousins, I think most of the kids nowadays are hooking up over MySpace/Facebook. The Internet is the new pickup spot.

  14. YOUNGFED says:

Ya I know Austin I quess at 26 I must be old fashion. Internet pimpin’ WTF. However Austin really fine chicks ain’t pickin’ nobody off the internet, I still think the internet is for guys wit no game and alright looking chicks/fine chicks wit problems. I could be wrong but I’m usually right.

  15. Austin Burton says:

Youngfed – I was watching one of those true crime shows the other day and this woman who killed her husband had met him through a dating service. This was early-90s, pre-Internet. They showed the name of the dating service and everything (Great Expectations). I’m thinking, “That’s the worst ad ever for Great Expectations.”

  16. Check it! says:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=te-8MJ84834 Maybe you have seen it..

  17. NB says:

It’s amazing that so many people are talking bad about Kidd, when in the beginning of the year, Dallas was the number one destination everyone had for him. Honestly, I don’t think its Kidd, its Avery crappy ass offensive system. It doesn’t work! Obviously the players don’t buy into it anymore. How in the world can a team with so many shooters not score enough points? And Chris Webber is right. That is two instances where someone on the Dallas squad got into a scuffle and no one was there to back them up. There is something not right with that team. I expect many changes to this team next year.

  18. NB says:

And its funny that Josh Howard is so persistent in saying that he’s not destracted by all of the marjiuana talk. He has been sucking the whole series. Maybe his is just not able to focus and is lacking motivation (side effects of the herb!).

  19. Austin Burton says:

Not only are people talking bad about Kidd, they’re acting like Devin Harris would have taken the Mavs any farther.

  20. djKianoosh says:

the sixers’ problems all start with that bumbling fool of a center we have named Samuel Dalembert. Please ya’ll, just watch him specifically, every posession. You can tell he’s always going to be a work in progress. He is so inconsistent. sometimes he does the right thing, but sometimes, like in the 3rd quarter last night, he does a series of idiotic things that take a 10 point lead and turn it into a 10 point deficit. when reggie evans and that smith rookie came it things just settled down again, but the damage was done. on top off that, iggy is getting detroit’s full attention, he just has to make sure he doesn’t lose it. the rest of the team, like green, thaddeus, miller, etc can get it done if they shoot well and take it strong to the hole like green did a bunch of times. i’m impressed with how much green has improved. sixers have a chance, but they won’t win a game 7. if they want to win this series, they need to do it in 6.

spurs looked like they didn’t know what hit em. but, why did it take 2 games for them to snap out of that funk they were in? this should get wrapped up in 5, though. unless Diaw can play like that on the road…

  21. rangerjohn says:

OUCH SPURS thats about all for that one.

spurs will come out in game 5 and clean house, just like raja bell said “we where embaraced” the spurs where too and they will be pissed at home for game 5.

i think the suns where playing not to get swept and now they have save face so to speak. they know they cant win the series so they will be flat tomorrow night.

  22. GEE...Don't be mad UPS is hiring! says:

    Houston up!

I wan’t to hear this track from Jay does anyone know the title or is it just a freestyle or what?

Proud of LeBron for being smart and not letting them bait him into a fight to get kicked out and suspended and all. He still backs away a little to fast for my taste but glad to see he is using his head.

DeShawn & the tatto across the back, then the asking for or about “Christina Aguilera” reference on myspace or facebook or something, then the beard, next LeBron is overrated, next get Soulja boy into the mix, also a Jay diss song and a hard foul. The young man has been busy lol.

Glad to see teams joining the Rockets at the 3-1 spot lol. Dallas is crazy. Player admits to smoking the greeny greeeen green and then has a horrid game. Owner in arguments with fans and questions about if it’s the coaches fault and what will happen to Avery, also people questioning the J-Kidd trade. It’s one thing to take an L, but another thing to have a load of mess surrounding the L.

I really like Kidd too but it’s not looking good in the other D.

Really can’t see Philly getting another win. Seriously who knows with the way Detroit picks random days to turn it on right before the game, but it doesn’t look good for Philly.

Soulja Boy should really get a ghost writer if he is going to try to do something. Otherwise that 4 minutes of genius that AB talked about is going to be real comical.

Producer Colli Park should cut his Soulja Boy ties while he has a chance.

  23. YOUNGFED says:

Why everybody hatin’ on soulja boy. dude is for the kids and grown men gettin’ mad cuz he ain’t gangsta. I like what lil mans doing he’s having fun with his music. Really whats the problem people.

  24. Suciniac says:

    @Austin
Wow, you can see people acting through your monitor???Please, read carefully before posting stupid comments.I said Kidd’s been the biggest disappointment of the playoffs……….nowhere, did I say Harris is better than Kidd.
Actually, anyone can see why Cuban pulled that trade.Harris will be more productive than Kidd maybe as soon as next year.Cuban either had to wait for Harris to grow into a play maker and watch Dirk,Howard and Co lose precious years of their prime.Or, he could get a veteran play maker to work with Dirk,Howard and Co without having to wait for Harris to develop.Nice gutsy move on Cubans part but DIDN’T WORK.
And for the record…..No, Harris wouldn’t have made much of a difference.CP3 is owning every PG not named Deron this year.

  25. Suciniac says:

    @post 17
I hadn’t seen that at all. That was plain nasty stuff. It was raining glasses!!!!!

  26. fallinup says:

“It’s funny, the Mavs clearly came out trying to play a more physical style of ball than we’re used to seeing from them, but they really don’t have anyone who can get to the rim on the regular.”

That Devin Harris kid, he’s pretty good at getting to the rim. He’s fast, and has a good first step. I’m surprised that they didn’t play him that much.

    **fallinup gets memo.

Oh….well….that’s why Devin was playing. Pfft, nevermind.

  27. GayforRudy says:

So far I’ve just read the comments and not Smack, so please forgive my error if this was already said…

I’m a Sixers fan, but they are done. And it makes me sick, SICK, to my stomach to know that after the Pistons close them out over the next two games that Rasheed Wallace getting a “T” is going to be the focal point of the media. They will use words like “heart”, “determination”, “passion”, etc. that will make me vomit everywhere. The Pistons looked so disinterested in the first half last night. They were giving it away.

I need to go puke now.

  28. Austin Burton says:

@Suciniac — Did I say I was talking about you specifically? I’ve read/heard several people say the Mavs should have kept Harris.

  29. GayforRudy says:

GfR thinks that it is arrogant for anyone to talk in the third person. He also has never liked James and wishes that someone would shove that head band where the sun don’t shine. Though GfR does think that DeShawn is a joke, he wishes James ill.

  30. K$ says:

    BALLLLLLLIN

  31. Eric says:

GfR, how can you not like someone you have not met? You are just a little envious peasant that’s all pissy because because James got a 90 million shoe deal.

And yes referring to yourself in the third person is arrogant, but wishing ill on someone is about as white trash as you can get.

  32. deeds says:

mitchell is as good gone next year….even if the raps somehow come back and win this series

  33. GayforRudy says:

Eric…relax. Sounds like you have alot of pent up energy. Are you the one that keeps posting about that dating website? I’ll assume you are and suggest that you tap into the product you are advertising. It’s easy to not like someone that I’ve never met… Did you ever meet Hitler?

  34. foscheezeeee says:

I was at the Mavs game last night, and they are toast. Devin Harris would have been better for THIS series because he could put more pressure on Paul by penetrating on N.O. I also think his defense would be better than Kidd. I hate to see Avery go, but that’s 99.9% gonna happen now….Josh Howard is playin like a bum, he can’t get to the hole consistently (you could say that about the whole team) and his jump shot has been terrible! I just think they don’t have any heart, plain and simple.

  35. Jeffrey says:

That Jay-Z diss was hot in the beginning but tailed off at the end. But it was still hot

  36. Dennis Castro says:

Tough loss for the Sixers. When Detroit turned up the D, the Sixers looked lost and apprehensive. Picking up their dribble too early, throwing double clutch passes, etc.

When you give up like 20 O-boards, you’re not going to win. All of the Sixers front line, from Sammy to Jason Smith, should be embarrassed by that rebounding effort.

Tayshaun is like the Pistons version of Andrew Toney for us and Boston. He locked Iverson down in the past, and he’s locking down Iguodala now. What I don’t get is that Iguodala can absolutely take him in the post, but he settles for jumpers or he’ll fade after he backs him down. He needs to man up right now, because all the good he did in the regular season to get P-A-I-D is all coming apart now.

I think Mo will have this team ready to play in game 6, but it’ll be tough. Detroit looks like they care now and have picked up the intensity.

And how funny was it to hear Dunleavy still “hold” a grudge against Reggie Evans?

  37. YOUNGFED says:

That Jay-Z Diss was fire all the way thru. Fuk whatch heard.

    HOVA!, HOVA!, HOVA!,

H to da Izzo, V to da Hizzay

    It’s Hovie Baby!!!
    lol

  38. chrisGO says:

so jay-z responds to Deshawn Stevenson….but not Cam or Jimmy when they were goin at him for a minute. STUPID.

  39. YOUNGFED says:

    @ Dennis Castro

“Prince has made 31 of 47 shots. Iguodala has made 11 of 49. That is a thorough whipping.” -Detroit News

Sorry DC but it Ova for “Dre Almost Dollar”,

  40. YOUNGFED says:

    @post#40
When your worth half a Bill you respond to who you wanna. However I would like to see him and Fifty go at it.

  41. chrisGO says:

    #42, i hear ya

BUT…Deshawn didnt even go at Jay, and hes firing back for coming at his guy (LBJ). It just looks lame on Jay’s part. He mentioned never going at Cam or Jimmy because theyre below his radar…WTF? And Deshawn F’n Stevenso is??? I just want Hov to keep it consistent.

  42. DaPro says:

Kidd is one my all time favorite playa’s but it’s hard to see him go out like this. C-Webb was on point with his comments about the Mavs squad. They play soft as hell. What there missing is Diop more than Harris.

Kidd is being to passive. He can go @ Paul all day long in the post but Avery isn’t calling Kidd’s number. Avery is a decent coach but something ain’t right in big D. They need to make some changes to their roster in the offseason.

  43. BxBaller says:

This is exactly why I don’t like Lebron or Jay-Z. Why is Jay-Z dissing DeShawn, but when Dipset, Peedi Crakk, & Joe Budden were going at him, he ain’t have s#*t to say. Also did you guys here LeBron crying about DeShawn hitting him with a closed fist. The replay clearly showed that was a lie. And you guys saw how fast he got back up when DeShawn hit him, but in game 2 when Haywood it him, he turned away real quick. Overall LeBron is a p#$*y, and I’m getting real tired of the constant ABC/ESPN slurpage of LeBron. Did you guys hear Mike Tirico yesterday? Plain embarassing for a grown man to slurp like that. Keep LeBron outta of NY.

  44. Brazil says:

Well what about the predictions :

    Spurs 4 x 1 Suns
    Lakers 4 x 0 Nuggets
    Jazz 4 x 1 Rockets
    Hornets 4 x 1 Mavs

I tought that west would be more difficult …

    Celtics 4 x 1 Hawks
    Pistons 4 x 3 Sixers
    Magic 4 x 1 Raptors
    Cavs 4 x 1 Wizards

What do you guys think ?

  45. girlybballluver says:

The spurs really didn’t even try to win yesterday. And after being down 30+, they still only lost by 9. It’s almost as if they wanted the series to go back to SA. Suns are goners on Tuesday. The Spurs need all the rest they can get.

I don’t really listen to rap, but Jay-Z taking time to take a shot a Deshawn just seems ridiculous to me.

Harris wouldn’t have made too much of a difference, but I do think he’d be able to stick with CP3 better than Kidd. Kidd is not Dallas’ problem though. The whole organization needs a make over, starting with the owner (as if that would happen).

  46. GayforRudy says:

    BxBaller said it best

:”I’m getting real tired of the constant ABC/ESPN slurpage of LeBron”.

I’ve BEEN tired of it. That’s all I’m saying. Obviously Lebron is great. Doesn’t mean anyone can be faulted for not liking him.

I get tired of ESPN with Lebron, Kobe, Boston, LA, Dallas Cowboys, NY Yankees, etc… And that’s not jealousy that they don’t mention my team either. I don’t care whether my teams are mentioned;I just can’t stand the overkill!

  47. isotope says:

havent heard JayZ’s song but the fact that he’s doing this sounds lame to me. He and Nas are just losing cred in my book.

DIME what is the deal on Paul Silas. He was a great coach to me. Do you all think he will get back on the scene? He could do a team some good (DENVER).

  61. doc says:

Lebron always throwing the dam roc up like he rap so to make a song for him was the least Hov could do.Sheed stepped it up last night at least he from my hood since he wanna beat my team. But that was good because now all the people jumping off the wagon and only the true fans will be satisfied when we bust Detroit ass the next game.Sixers in 6.

  62. doc says:

And I think Devin Harris would of put up a better fight than Kidd. They did go to the chip with dude.It wasnt his fault G-State cooked them.If it aint broke dont fix it.Now Cuban got fans trying to give him a rumble for trading Harris and Diop for a old has been that is lucky people on his dick or he would get cut from the USA team instead of Paul or D Will.

  63. YOUNGFED says:

    @GEE,
Toronto hip-hop seen is crazy they got talent out there. Check out Luu Breeze dude is nice.
    Denver, AI could represent himself
Utah, Do they even listen to rap there and furthermore do they even have black people? lol other than karl malone.

    Holla!!

  64. GEE...Don't be mad UPS is hiring! says:

    Young

Didn’t know that about Toronto and I will have to keep an ear out for Luu Breeze.

A.I. rapping…you think he’s that nice??? Not to mention I don’t even think A.I. would flow for himself, he might get Skills to do it (ain’t he and A.I. from VA?). Plus from the looks of it, and this is just GEE…I think A.I. is sick of Denver. I am thinking he is really wishing he was back in Philly.

Yea I can’t picture no one grabbin the mic in Utah.

  65. Ian says:

shit lebron annoys the shit out of me when he talks like he has won everything in the nba “they are trying to hurt lebron james” pleaseeeee nigga gtfoh can he use “me” in a sentence for once. i dont mind winners speaking like that timmeh should say in a press conference “i remember when tim duncan sweept the crap out of lebron james”.

  66. girlybballluver says:

If any of the guards need to get cut from team USA it’s billups or kidd. No disrespect to either of ‘em but both deron and cp are outplaying them. I was never a fan of chauncey anyway. He chooses when to play hard and when not to, he gets paid way too much to decide to play lazily whenever he wants.

  67. MoxWestCoastRep says:

    Matisyahu defends Steve Blake.
    Damien marley defends Josh Howard.
    R Kelly defends Marv Albert
    Face!

  68. K Dizzle says:

@ post 53 – Nobody gonna say anything else on the fact that crap never happened and you know there won’t be a retraction. Media always tryin to undermind certain coaches. I don’t even like Mitchell and I know that the man ain’t that lazy. Dude goes from coach of the year last year, loses his best player for like 12-15 games, gets nothin from last year’s first overall pick, loses Garbajosa, gets damn near the same record, back into the playoffs, gets his team to compete in all the games and then they throw this junk out. Like I been sayin, Don’t believe the hype! They got these foolish talkin heads on my flat screen talkin bout how the Raps wouldn’t get into the playoffs, but the Knicks had a great shot, about how Chris Bosh ain’t a franchise player, but after 35 and 15 , it gets quiet. That’s how the media rolls. They dogged Mike cuz he wanted to keep playin so he bounced to Washington so ain’t nobody off-limits. I’m done rantin now tho.
Lakers in 4 unless the Nuggets get a workin heart. Home in 4, rest and hope Rafer keeps carryin Houston cuz D-Will don’t look like he tired yet.
KB24 – gettin the MVP chants in Denver. DAMN!!!
    i’m out like vecsey’s credibility

  69. control says:

Weird Al can throw down for Utah…

  70. GEE...Don't be mad UPS is hiring! says:

lol control that is about the best they will have too.

Oh yea Utah has an excellent home record….there is a reason too.

I ain’t saying they get a lot of calls inside their home spot. I ain’t saying that more than a couple of their players be floppin all over the place like fish out of water. I ain’t sayin that they can body and play physical with the opponents star player and when a player blinks more than once in a 30 second span it’s a foul when their star player is being guarded.

I ain’t saying none of that. I am just saying it is a reason why they have an excellent home record lol.

(Utah fans are going to be pissed lol).

  71. isotope says:

nah. Utah fans aint got no other sports to be fans so they put all their energy into the Jazz.

  72. GEE...Don't be mad UPS is hiring! says:

iso that was cold, mean, nasty and true…& I enjoyed it!

  73. ML says:

Eh Gee Are their any Black people in Utah besides Carlos Boozer, Deron Williams, Ronnie Brewer, C.J. Miles?

  74. What is this!? says:

Kobe got “MVP” chants in Denver because half of the people that live in Denver are from Cali and are Lakers fans. Denvers crowd is garbage anyway. Could you imagine Kobe going to Golden State or Philly (when Iverson was there) and their crowds chanting “MVP” for Kobe (no matter how well he’s playing this year)? Hell no…their crowds are too live for that, they don’t play that sh*t. Just another reason why as a fan I want Iverson out of Denver…and Carmelo needs to stay in Denver with that garbage crowd where he belongs.

  75. SAS Sizzle says:

Vescey is just a man-tool for buttsex. Nobody gives a sh*t was he has to say, it’s all trollish slander.

Utah needs a 7-footer to combat Duncan if they wanna go anywhere. Even Kurt Thomas can hold the Booze down. Most Jazz fans are not as bad as Suns fans, but mos def as delusional about their team. Why is that team sooo pale btw?

The Suns win was just a consolation prize, not gonna happen in SA for Game 5!

  76. Nimit says:

At this point, does anyone even doubt that LeBron will leave Cleveland to join the Brooklyn Nets? followed by all knicks trying to convince themselves that its not really breaking the rules to change teams if ur team’s reached the level that they have.

by that time Boston will be done…same with Detroit. Cant see the magic improving much, unless Lewis plays upto his money. the only team that could challenge the nets?…Miami Heat. Rose, Wade, Marion, veteran players on the cheap, role playing free agents attracted by 2 stars and one quasi-star.

OK, im getting wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ahead of myself.

  77. daquest?on aka CB5 says:

i love the nuggets but everytime i say upset they lose soooooo 2night imma say they are gonna lose

  78. Vecseysabitch says:

Peter Vecsey is an irrelivant reporter in the NBA and no one beleives or listens to his shit! That dummy writes that article but Bynum wasn’t even playing when they played the Raps the first time. Pure garbage and he’s getting ripped in the papers calling him out on his bullshit!

  79. daquest?on aka CB5 says:

carmelo should be benched for game 4 and the nuggets should fire the nuggets as soon as the playoffs end

  80. control says:

fucking raptors, enjoy golfing you slugs!

  81. for real says:

are they giving away free food in Atlanta, or do the Hawks actually have fans……now?

  82. daquest?on aka YoUnG cArLi BaByyyyyyyy says:

LMFAO @ 4 real bibby said that about the celts but their fans are the same

  83. daquest?on aka YoUnG cArLi BaByyyyyyyy says:

omg joe johnson is suddenly lebron.. he is a beast unstoppable the nuggets should trade kleiza and anthony 4 johnson and smith id take johnson everyday over melo

  84. for real says:

Atlanta looks good – Celts look tired.
Game 5 is gonna be nice

  85. daquest?on aka YoUnG cArLi BaByyyyyyyy says:

i am embarassed of being a nuggets fan

  86. jamesinva says:

jayz is jus backn up hisboy lebron whom will goto the brooklyn nets and work for his new boss jayz in the near future.
