why is jay making a track about deshawn?
was he offended by the “lebron is overrated” statement?

YOUNGFED says:
Random Funny Ish:
“IN DC for a party Hosted By LeBron James and The Cavs. The Club was packed Caron Butler was getting no love in his own team’s town. Anyway to be even more disrespectful to the Wizards LeBron played a song that Jay-Z did for me apparently recorded Friday Morning and he is dissing DeShawn Stevenson and The Wizards on behalf of LeBron.” - All HipHop.com, illseed.
@Dave
Jay and Lebron are cool he’s just saying he got LJ’s back

GEE...Don't be mad UPS is hiring! says:
Jay must have been bored. LOL. Sounds like he was bored. “What the f%&$ are youuuu thinkin?” lol.
Hope they don’t turn that into some weird contest.
“Rap with the Stars”…Oh wait MTV already did, with that horrible show that had like D or F list celebrities trying to rap.
I think I would have rather see Jay do a dope intro for James and his crew to come out to or something. Then again that is a conflict of interest cause he is ova Jersery right? So shouldn’t Usher be doing something for Cleveland?
It’s all so stupid. Lets just play ball!
April 28th, 2008 at 12:21 pm
doc says:
I dont know what Lebron do he must be a professional promoter for the roc or something. He always throw the roc up and it aint like he wear the sneaks.I even saw him on a damn rap mag cover with Hov and the rest of the roc.I would be pissed if i rap for you and instead of me you got some dude on a mag cover that got 50 of his own and his own shit to sell. But they boys so thats what it is.If I was bron I’d ask if we share Beyonce like we share the limelight..
April 28th, 2008 at 12:26 pm
fallinup says:
“So big we don’t have to respond.”…….Um, Jay, didn’t you just respond????
Are the Brooklyn Nets Number 23 jerseys available for pre order yet?

That ish was hilarious…can’t wait to see Bron throw the Roc on the olympic podium. “you better with respect like your moms.” I bet that took eight minutes for Jay to come up with that whole track.

GEE...Don't be mad UPS is hiring! says:
So now when it’s about to go to commercial breaks instead of Soulja boy are we now going to be hearing the instrumental track for “Blow the Whistle”.
I miss the old ROC. Would have had Beans, Bleek, The Young Gunz, Peedi Crack, Freeway and I even liked Amil. I always could do without Dame corny $%& Dash.
Oh well.
April 28th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
DaPro says:
Amil was trash fam, no question about that. Yeah the ROC had a mean line-up. I always been a Beans fan and Freeway was that fire but D-Block was serious too. Nasty Nas murdered Jay and he hasn’t been the same dude since. The ROC signed Twista (Chi-Town) so I’m always for the hometown luv.
April 28th, 2008 at 1:18 pm
SWAT says:
GEE…amil c’mon son. LOL! “I had to drop Amil cuz if you’re gonna cop something you gotta cop for real” she was trash! I do miss Siegel though, next to J he was the nicest and even out spit his ass a couple of times.
April 28th, 2008 at 1:25 pm
GEE...Don't be mad UPS is hiring! says:
LOL I knew I would get heat for that, but I thought she had a nice voice. Even if she didn’t write her ish. I got yall though I got it. lol.

Aw man yea O and Sparks. No doubt. My fav. outside of J of course was Peedi Peedi aka Peedi Crack aka Peedi Crack and I ain’t for play, I gotta mac that’ll make ya day!
Still cracking up ova dudes just callin ol girl trash.
Rather her than Dame though!
April 28th, 2008 at 1:39 pm
Promoman says:
What did LeBron say to get DeShawn started? LeBron must’ve said something pretty personal behind his back or it could be regular dumb jock talk.
April 28th, 2008 at 1:43 pm
SWAT says:
Bron was responding to deshawn callin him overrated. I think deshawn started all this crap. Amil…lol no sir. I would listen to “DJ” ass Jackie-o before i listen to her. LOL! Real talk tho i really don’t like Freeway that much either. Ridin Beans coattails.
April 28th, 2008 at 1:53 pm
GEE...Don't be mad UPS is hiring! says:
LOL this is like the official rap day of DIME mag. I can’t recall another day when rap was so heavily discussed.
Anyway I thought freeway was aight. Beans was ridiculous on a freestyle though. I recall a concert freestyle dude did acappella and it was the shizzzzznit!
April 28th, 2008 at 2:19 pm
SWAT says:
GEE didnt you use this quote the other day…”damn it feels good to see people up on it.” I love that we are having a convo about actual rap music not pop-rap…like Flo rida or soulja boy.
April 28th, 2008 at 3:04 pm
yallallreadyknow says:
this is nonesense. that fat lip jigga nigga dont know how to rap anymore. he lost his flavor even since his started suckin beyonce cuchie.
….and for you lames who think Deshawn started this trash talk shit…you WRONG. Lebron started it by talking shit about stevenson to his teammates; one of they being drew gooden.
drew gooden and deshawn steveson have been boys since jhs teen yrs. and yes, that even includes the beard growing contest.
..so since bron was running his lips all loose, gooden told his boy stevenson. drew (snitch bitch) got traded (unrelated)…but the next time they were about to ball (cavs/wiz), drew phoned deshawn and reminded him of the comments. wiz won the game, deshawn spit back in the media.
so for PROMOMAN and SWAT….there you have it. know ur history
April 28th, 2008 at 3:26 pm
word says:
totally wack that a big “mogul” would sit there and waste his time with this for unneeded promo, he ain’t puttin shit out right now so wtf is this for. That guy needs to stay retired, sit his ass down, he been wack since 02! Last good album was blueprint. Anyway my point is this is a promo stunt for a wack artist like souljah boy to do not a big man like jigga. And I wish deshawn would stop crediting Tony Gay-yo for the you can’t see me gesture, that’s all John Cena. And it ain’t no “you can’t feel my face” that is a track by Juelz and Wayne. These dudes have no fucking clue about anything. Get your facts right Deshawn, for real.
April 28th, 2008 at 3:44 pm
GEE...Don't be mad UPS is hiring! says:
yea SWAT I don’t like messin around with that Soulja Boy, Flo Rida crap.
I like dudes who are smart and come with substance and can stay on a subject.
Just some of my favs (no order): Jay, Fab, Luda, Outkast, Cee-Lo (when he is rappin not singing),GEE, Sheek Louch, Jada, Boonie Mayfield, T.I., Peedi Crack, Lupe, Lil Wayne (when he is serious) and a host of old school cats and others.
Love a lot of it, but some is really hard to stomach. To many cats with nothing really to say and lil boys in the game.
Some stuff is comical though and worth the laugh if nothing else.
Basketball goes with rap (flashy and fun)
Hockey with rock (wild)
baseball with country (slow)
Soccer hmmmmm at a loss with that one.
April 28th, 2008 at 4:29 pm
SWAT says:
Ok i can feel that list gee…haha wait a min did you include yourself in that list? LMAO!! I have to throw Common in there too. Dude is nice on the mic and he’s actually a cool cat too. He comes to Austin a couple of times a year and does a free show every now and again. He said it best when talking about the state of hip-hop and rap today “You’re the reason my people say they tired of rap” That’s dedicated to the popsters acting like gangstas tryin to intimidate Bron at Wizard’s games.
April 28th, 2008 at 5:56 pm
ibleedgreen says:
that was pretty weak. sounds like jay was gonna smash deshawn, but second verse sounds more like he’s telling bron bron to keep his name out of his mouth.

Brown says:
Jay is overrated, cuz he drops garbage like this waaaaaay too often.
If we talkin’ real MCs, YOUNGFED rep yo city homie!! The D got the best up-and-coming artists and producers. I could name a whole bunch, but I’m pulling YOUNGFED’s hip hop card. What you know about dudes in your own city who ain’t all up on BET? I ain’t comin’ with no disrespect, just hopin’ you know the deal in your own city.
For anyone who likes real hip hop, not that fake shit, listen to these artists/albums/mixtapes. Have a listen before you start hatin’ (cuz I’m willing to bet most of you probably don’t even know who these dudes are).
Buckshot & 9th Wonder - The Formula (track 11 is fire)
Skyzoo - Corner Store Classic (mixtape of the year easily)
Termanology
Statik Selektah - Spell My Name Right
Special Teamz - Stereotypez
Torae - Daily Conversation
Little Brother - Getback (LB are my favourite MCs)
Focus - Dedicated (Dr. Dre’s understudy)
Bishop Lamont - Pope Mobile
EMC - The Show
Chaundon - Carnage
The Away Team - Training Day
Blu & Exile - Below The Heavens
Bishop Lamont & Black Milk - Caltroit
Just check out Black Milk and tell me you don’t like his beats/rhymes. Dude is sick with it.

Here’s what the D got:
Guilty Simpson
Fat Ray
Fattfather
Nametag
Marv Won
Phat Kat
Check ‘em out. They all got bangers.
April 29th, 2008 at 4:13 pm
Brown says:
@doc
A record label would be sweet, but I’m just a huge hip hop fan and try to put people on to real hip hop whenever I can. Somebody’s gotta do it cuz BET stopped YEARS ago, and radio…don’t even get me started.
Just a fan man, just a fan.
@Youngfed
People act like everything Jay touches is gold, but the fact is he’s dropped some DUDS over the years. I judge artists on their complete body of work, not just their successes, but their failures too.
