‘Till We Collapse

IMAGE DESCRIPTIONGilbert Arenas (photo. David Deal)

You saw it coming. After getting out-bullied when they tried to be bullies in Game 1, then getting blown out last night and staring an 0-2 series deficit right in the face, the Wizards began falling apart. Leading the charge, naturally, was DeShawn Stevenson. With his team trailing by 19 in the second half against Cleveland, DeShawn knocked down a three and followed it up with his “I can’t feel my face” pantomime in front of LeBron. After the announcers (especially Reggie Miller) started KILLING Stevenson for his antics, LeBron came down and hit a three in his face on the next possession. A few minutes after that, Brendan Haywood decided he wanted an early shower and got himself ejected from what was en eventual 30-piecing … Then in garbage time, Damon Jones hit a three and decided he couldn’t feel his face, while LeBron and Wally Szczerbiak were cracking up on the Cavs bench … Is this the end for the Wizards already? Last year we watched the Warriors — namely Stephen Jackson and Baron Davis — do the same stuff when it looked like they were about to flame out in the first round, but they were able to pull it together and take care of business. Can Washington reach down and find that same kind of strength within themselves? Are they even focused on winning, or have they become caught up in simply trying to make LeBron look bad? We heard yesterday that Stevenson is going to have Soulja Boy sitting front-row when the series moves to D.C. just to antagonize LeBron … While LeBron (30 pts, 12 asts, 9 rebs) was dominating whoever Eddie Jordan put in front of him, Washington’s big-money guys weren’t producing at all. Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison combined to shoot 8-for-26 from the floor, with neither guy scoring more than 12 points, and Gilbert Arenas continued to force shots (2-for-10 FGs) and look slow. It’s not the end of the world that Arenas doesn’t have that same burst in his step, provided he can adjust and play a smart old-man’s game to get his buckets, a la Sam Cassell. But if he just keeps jacking, he’ll find himself with plenty of time to rest that knee during the offseason … In another acrimonious series, the Nuggets have beef with Kobe, as Anthony Carter is accusing Kobe of taking a swipe at him akin to what we’ve seen Mamba do to Manu Ginobili and Marko Jaric … It’s not looking good for T-Mac as far as getting out of the first round. He’s doing all he can — posting 23 points, 13 boards, 9 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks yesterday — a “true superstar performance” according to none other than Magic Johnson, but his team just didn’t have the firepower down the stretch to outlast the Jazz … Just like in Game 1, you had a situation where Utah had to play without their top two guys for crucial stretches. Carlos Boozer (13 pts, 7 rebs) picked up two fouls in the first quarter, and Deron Williams (22 pts, 5 asts) had to leave for a minute in the second half when he re-aggravated his tailbone injury and went to get his shorts re-padded … But when it mattered most, Deron and Booz were right there and made some huge plays late in the fourth, keeping the Jazz ahead in a seesaw game … The biggest sequence came in the final minute, when Houston was down three. T-Mac had the ball in the corner and found Bobby Jackson (18 pts) wide open for a three, but it was waved off when Andrei Kirilenko flopped and drew a pushing foul on Luis Scola. On Utah’s next possession, AK-47 not only read a Kyle Korver brick off the side of the backboard, but also saved the ball right back to Korver, who hit a one-handed flip dagger as the shot clock expired … Here’s the thing with the Jazz and Kirilenko: The team is obviously very good, but they’re SO much better when AK is engaged in the game. There are times when you can tell he isn’t totally locked in, and there are times like last night, when he’s aggressively going after blocks, boards and loose balls. There are few impact players in the League with that kind of fire-and-ice difference to their game. Even if you take someone like Dwyane Wade, whether he’s having a good shooting night or an awful one, he generally plays the same way every night; you know what you’re gonna get. Kirilenko is a total wild card, and not even in the J.R. Smith sense … Did you see the last Jazz possession of the first half? How did Doug Collins know exactly what play Utah was going to run (getting Mehmet Okur an open three) and yet the Rockets were taken completely by surprise? Collins, who really shouldn’t be more well-researched on Utah than Rick Adelman, said Jerry Sloan has been running that same play the entire year at the end of quarters. You know, if there’s anything we’ve learned from the first few days of the postseason, it’s that there are a lot of really bad coaches in the League. So many guys (head coaches and assistants) are just recycled year after year, it’s almost like they get lazy because they know they’ll pretty much always have a job since they’re in the NBA fraternity. That’s why guys like Brian Hill can continuously get fired by team after team but will still always pop up on someone else’s staff somewhere … And just so you know how T-Mac feels about Adelman, did you hear him in the post-game press conference openly question why Adelman didn’t put Steve Novak on the floor? We still remember when Novak was a rookie and after the first few days of a training camp, McGrady called him the best shooter he’d EVER seen. He’s been going to bat for the kid all this time and Novak still can’t get any burn … Seeing Aaron Brooks and Dikembe Mutombo sitting side-by-side on the bench was like seeing a father and son waiting for the bus together … On the same day we found out what went wrong during Larry Krystkowiak‘s tenure in Milwaukee, the Bucks introduced new coach Scott Skiles. Calling it, “A good end to a bad winter,” Skiles was there sporting a scar on his head from a slip-and-fall at his house, and he was sick on top of that. One time Skiles was talking about how any player who shows maximum effort will always have a place on his team, and, “I don’t care if they throw the ball in the stands 25 times a game — now, they’ll be pulled out before they make it to 25.” … Manu took home his inevitable Sixth Man of the Year trophy; well, at least we think he took it home, because during the press conference the spokesman for KIA Motors actually took the trophy back from Manu after the photo op while Manu gave him a confused look … And apparently the Spurs held the press conference in a broom closet. The KIA guy had his left shoulder up against one wall, Manu was wedged in the middle, and Gregg Popovich‘s right shoulder was close enough to the door that if someone had walked in, he’d be wearing an arm sling for Game 2 … Ginobili (19.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 4.5 apg, 1.5 spg) received 123 of the 124 first-place votes, with Leandro Barbosa getting the other one, which probably came from someone who covers the Suns. (But that’s not nearly as bad as the person who gave Rashad McCants a second-place vote. Al Jefferson wouldn’t have even voted like that.) With Barbosa finishing a distant second, the rest of the top 10 consisted of Jason Terry, Korver, Ben Gordon, Josh Childress, J.R. Smith, James Posey, Jason Maxiell and Travis Outlaw … In case you missed the Jordan Brand All-American Classic on TV over the weekend, we’ve got the entire JBAAC recap (the on-court and off-court happenings) over on HighSchoolHoop.com, as well as a post-game Q&A with Iman Shumpert, one of the game’s standouts and JBAAC dunk contest winner who’s headed to Georgia Tech in the fall … We’re out like DeShawn’s face …

I bet Austin doesn’t even know who Pharoah Monch is. Since he couldn’t figure out my quote yesterday. Don’t worry I’ll keep ya posted from here on about where my qoutes come from Austin. Just thought everyone would have gotten the one from yesterday.

Also it’s a wrap for H-Town. Big Ups to T-Mac you tried bruh.

  17. ballz says:

Yall are on TMac’s dick, but on the real, he got ONE fucking point in two fourth quarters, dig? Magic said he was playin like a superstar at HALFTIME…in the playoffs you don’t ball in half numba one, then put up ONE fucking point in two fourth quarters and get the superstar tag. Shit Kyle Korver is out shinin T in the fourth. Sorry yall, but Tmac ain’t that shit.

  18. YOUNGFED says:

Lebron James should take Deshawn’s move and trademark it so no one else can use it (including Deshawn). Shit he’s already taking Deshawns soul.

  19. Sam Boobie says:

As has been customary the last two Aprils, Dime is now changing its tune on LeBron — from, “Oh, he’s not in anyone’s Top 5, he’s too athletic, and we are biased against him anyway,” to, “Oh, LeBron went Beastmaster on the Wiz last night.” A shameful, repugnant pattern.

  20. Knowledge says:

Sam Boobie needs to be put on the blocked list cuz his shit is tired

  21. Borgs says:

If he has an official vote, Suns radio colour commentator and former NBA player Tim Kempton would’ve been the one. I’m sure I heard him suggest his vote would go to Barbosa during a recent Suns game.

And, I know these radio guys cater to the local market, but Kempton was a virtual Suns on-air mascot against the Spurs in Game One. He left Sean Elliott in the dust in terms of homerism.

  22. Austin Burton says:

@YOUNGFED — “I bet Austin doesn’t even know who Pharoah Monch is. Since he couldn’t figure out my quote yesterday.”

Chill out, homie. Just ’cause I forgot about the OutKast/Goodie song don’t mean nothing. It was pretty early in the morning.

@ballz — Magic kept saying the superstar thing about T-Mac throughout the night, including after the game.

  26. Logan Light says:

On the real, I feel bad for T-Mac. The jury is still out for me about whether or not he’s a “Superstar” but, being honest, the man can’t get a break this year. He’s balling with D-League players, Yao wouldn’t be able to stay healthy if the Chinese government told him to, and he gets the Jazz in the opening round. Of course he only scored one point in the fourth… WHO ELSE WOULD UTAH GUARD? Plus, the way they kept throwing different people at McGrady, he didn’t have a chance to get a rhythm. Sloan has seen teams just like this his whole career, you think he doesn’t have a plan to shut down T-Mac?

Oh, DeShawn is a retard. He is completely in his own world… and we see who lost on that whole beard thing. Stevenson is still wearing his out in public and making an @$$ out of himself – Gooden is chillin at home laughing himself to sleep. Good stuff guys, keep it up.

@DIME – how can I get in contact with someone there? I have a question about a recent contest, but the customer service e-mail addresses keep bouncing back. Can someone holler at me real quick?

  27. yallallreadyknow says:

Wiz are making a mess on the court. they should be ashamed of themselves. they don’t know how to win a big game and they dont have any leadership. if they let that lil punk ass rapper sit first row in dc, then you done already know they minds aint in winning the series. ….how the hell you gonna get punk’d by the cavs by 30pts? lebron is the shit…but that team sucks!

houston aint shit. i told yall fuckers they were gonna get bounced in the 1st round during their win streak. that team has too many role players. no one can get anything done on that squad.

and speaking of doug collins….how the hell can he justify voting for shane battier as dpoy? are you crazy doug? shane is a good defender, but best in the league?…i suppose this is about the duke connection

  28. GEE..What goes up....Must come down..Not me clown! says:

    Houston still mutha&%$#& up!

Ain’t no love lost. Conspiracy theory time. I am officially convinced that Sterny and the L want the Rockets out ASAP. Cause that play on which Bobby Jackson tied it up only to have it taken away was some horse dooky! Plain and Simple. I can’t be convinced otherwise. Regardless it still shouldn’t have even come to that, but when you only have one and a half (Scola) official scorers it’s hard.

I have nothing but total respect for D-Will and always had it for Booz (even though he is a Duke Bi&*#!). Still D-Will came out dropping crazy 3′s like they were water. I had to honestly say wow, he literally had B. Jackson dancing the whole night.

ballz lets see you try to score after you have been everywhere all game and the other team knows they have to shadow and double you in the 4th. Did you not see everytime T touched the ball he was smothered. Mac did his thing no way around that. I don’t care if he had no points in the 4th. Hell without T the game is not even in reach going into the 4th. Magic was right.

Now I am off that playa.

I have never seen a team come up so lame so early in a series as the Wiz. That is reason for significant worry. Agent Zero looked like he was about to cry at times. Deshaw is just one of those guys who doesn’t have “tact”.

Right now the Wiz need to really just close their mouth and and get at least 1 win under their belt before they start talking. Not good.

They were all ova that Soulja boy mess last night. That “Marv Albert” head on some dude doing the Soulja Boy was funny.

Just wondering what life would be like with Rudy Gay instead of Shane. I am also thinking they really should have kept Bonzi Wells.

can anyone think of a team that has gone 13-5 vs the spurs last 4 playoffs meetings and still think that they really havent lost any of those that they were cheated in all 13.

  32. GEE..What goes up....Must come down..Not me clown! says:

    S. Novack (However you spell it) and JJ Reddick should be somewhere with picket signs on strike!

Prof. TX I have to agree with that assessment too. I think they are making way more out of it cause it’s LeBron.

For that matter Okur has done some pretty hard fouling as well, and his %&# is still playing like it’s all to the good.

  33. yallallreadyknow says:

the west conference can be great; but not if teams get swept. rockets need to win at least 2 games to make this playoff run interesting. utah path is too easy.
in fact, the nba needs to change that rule that got utah the 4 seed just because they won their division. thats bullshit.

i told yall detroit is in for one too. yall bitches laughed at me. pistons dont take any game seriously and they still think its 2004-2006. and it aint the coach, its them players.
i was shocked when joey dumars didn’t make a trade; the team needs new fire.

  34. YOUNGFED says:

interesting analysis “yallalreadyknow”, however it’s really unfounded. I guess it’s not the coaches fault that he uses his starters know matter what even though they’re laying eggs out there. I guess its not the coaches fault that he plays linsay hunter over AMIR JOHNSON and STUCKEY our best slashers when thats cleary what we needed. I could go on but why. NUFF SAID…

    PS.

    “cough’, cough’….Dik Rider”
How was that and in yo face.
“Get off his Dik and tell ya bitch ta come here” – 2PAC….I think?

  35. sad but true says:

I think Boobie Gibson only hits shots when his team is up by 10-20 points. He can sure push a 22 point lead to 28 real good

  36. PALakerFan says:

The Wiz need to bench Deshawn for lighting Lebron’s fire and for showing no respect for the game. Making gestures when your team is getting blown out – PLEASE! They also need to remind Arenas that he’s coming off the bench right now cause his game deserves it. He thinks when he gets in it’s his team again. They need to run the offense through Jamison and Butler. Give Young Stevenson’s minutes too. I thought the Wiz would win this series, but Arenas seems to have messed up the team’s chemistry and Deshawn has them distracted. Lebron looks like a 20 year old playing against 12 year olds. That ugly fucker Jay-Z’s biggest contribution to this world will be luring Lebron to Brooklyn.

Is it time to say T-Mac is overrated? Dude gets mentioned every year in the same breath as Kobe, Lebron, D-Wade, etc. and starts nearly every All-Star game and can’t even get to the second round? He clearly has tremendous skill but is more gifted to playmaking than shooting. Jacks 3′s constantly and can’t shoot for shit. If T-Mac wants Novak out there, Adelman should put him in. Put 2 sharpshooters out there with him and that team is still in it. Too many shitty coaches in the league, for sure.

  37. Austin Burton says:

“Get off his Dik and tell ya bitch ta come here” – 2PAC….I think?

    Ice Cube

  38. Prof. TX says:

I don’t think it’s fair to say that T-Mac doesn’t belong in the same discussion as Wade. If anything, they’re alot alike. Aside from the one ring Wade has, both have had some trouble carrying teams with one all-star big and bunch of roleplayers. Both have been held back by injury and struggled with some bad luck and bad situations.

Put Tracy in Kobe’s spot on the Lakers and they’d be just as favored to win the west, or give him Pierce’s spot on the Celtics and we’d still be talking about a big three that will win the East. That tells me it’s more about circumstance than any lack of talent.

If Kobe and LeBron are a 10, then McGrady is at least an 8 or maybe a 9, and that’s not bad.

  39. GEE..What goes up....Must come down..Not me clown! says:

A lot of you all are acting like T-Mac is rolling with a squad. HE IS PLAYING WITH GUYS 2 STEPS AWAY FROM YOUR LOCAL PLAYGROUND OR YMCA! Man please. T-Mac is fragile I will say that. A lot of folks acting like they got a short memory, dude has exploits and has done a lot of memorable things in the game.
Unfortunately his big thing is not getting out the 1st round, but lets not act like he has these major squads that he is losing with.
Some cats just typing to type, not even make shi%%y sense with the mess you saying.

I am convinced a lot of dudes just is just like DeShawn, doing is that makes no sense.

  40. doc says:

Put T-Mac in Kobe spot the Lakers are worst and Pau is the man.Put him in Boston they would still be nice but KG would be the MVP like he is now.T-Mac is a pussy who is averaging 0.5 in the 4th quarter of playoff games this year. Its okay for Gee and them because they Houstoned out.The rest of yall dreaming just like yall Wizards dreams that them fucking bums was gonna beat the King of this shit.SIXERS IN 4!

  41. Austin Burton says:

He’s a pussy who’s playing on an injured shoulder and still putting up near-triple-doubles?

  42. QQ says:

I watched the Cavs-Wiz game, and why does Arenas still think he’s the man when he has an All Star SF and a PF who can post and shoot 3′s? Does this kid even have a brain between those ears? Disgusting.

And Zero, if you’re reading this, use this as motivation, and drop 60 on those Cavs.

  43. BxBaller says:

I don’t understand why Reggie was killing DeShawn for doing the “I can’t feel my face”. He’s been doing that since last season and always does it when he hits a shot.
LeBron needed to get put on his ass, did you guys see how he was yelling at the ref when Haywood hit him, but didn’t say anything to Haywood. Besides where was Ben Wallace or any enforcer for the Cavs. If somebody hit my franchise player, I’m getting in their face. The Wiz will be fine when they get back home. This series is not done yet.
I’m starting to feel sorry for T-Mac cause his season is probably over. Heading to Utah done 0-2 is not a good look.

  44. GEE..What goes up....Must come down..Not me clown! says:

Yea AB he is a pu$$y who is also carrying roll players and has no and I do mean no second option. He is also the same pu$$y that has actually helped get the team in the playoffs. Same Pu$$y that had to adopt his style of play multiple times with different coaches, and still made it to the playoffs with not a whole lot of help a lot of times.

I think it was Redman that said “I’ll be that”

    Pu$$y as charged!

How far did Kobe go in the playoffs last year? I forget can someone remind me and the year before that.

    Seriously I forgot?

  45. G says:

T-Mac is the truth. He definately has his knocks (injury prone, disappears late) but at the end of the day dude is sick. Killer jumper, passing, court vision, can handle the rock, long enough to be a problem on defense, solid rebounder, just an all around baller. Never will forget him dropping 13 points in something like a minute and a half (Im sure I will be corrected on that). Give the dude some respect, and while you’re at it everyone else on the floor. These dudes aren’t bumasses, they’re nba players who take offense at getting lit up. Good shit for them figuring out how to get him off his game in the 4th, even if it takes 2 or 3 of them at a time.

  46. doc says:

Yes Austin your man is a pussy.Just because you had to bring that shoulder up for an excuse validates it more.Everybody hurt.Hear any Cavs fan talking about Bron back,Kobe finger,AI hand.He is a softie. You just like them soft ass players.Thats why you defend him and his homo ass cousin any 20 point game they get.Now they gonna say he got a d league team. When they won 22 straight they were chip contenders. Check yall old shit.

  47. doc says:

Yeah Gee he definitly changed his game for the coaches. Now instead of that broke ass 3 from the top he shoots that…………broke ass 3 from the top.HA! Talk it up for yall boy but he getting the fuck out of here again.

  48. Dave says:

D Will dominated that game….there was never a doubt late in the fourth with D Will bringing the ball up that he would either get a layup for a team-mate or himself and that the Jazz were going to win the game. AK may have reacted to a foul, but there is no doubt there was a push to get AK off of TMac…go watch the video. Regardless if he would have got the three there, D Will would have come down and scored, end of story. Chris Paul can have his MVP, all D Will cares about is the title! Lakers better hope Bynum gets better in a hurry.

  49. GEE..What goes up....Must come down..Not me clown! says:

Enjoy ya self doc. You obviously got it out for dude so ain’t nothing on that, no sense in going around and round.

Speaking for GEE ain’t no love loss here and T-Mac did his thing and I ain’t got nothing but hope and support for dude.

If you enjoy hating (magnifying the negative and ignoring the positive) then that is on you, knock ya self out pimpin!

    It is what it is.

  50. YOUNGFED says:

    Get’em DOC lol @post #46 and 47

    @Austin post #37
Ooooooooh betcha you couldn’t wait to call me out on that one alright pimpin’ were even. I should known that one

    TMAC=BY BY CRY BABY…..I HOLLA!!!

  51. doc says:

CP3 cares about the title 2.You didnt see his first game I presume Dave. But then you were on here talking that Wizard shit yesterday. But at least they got out the 1rst round before.Maybe T-Mac should go to the D-league they only got to win 1 game to get out the first round there. If you H-Town dudes would go look at the shit yall was saying during the streak I think you would laugh yourself.Ima hurt yall with this.Everyones 2nd favorite pussy behind his cousin is not better than Manu. But yall say hes up there with Kobe.

  52. doc says:

Its your team Gee you supposed to ride.I like that.

  53. Amar says:

unlike tmac, dwill is also hurt, but he shows up in the 4th quarter. with guys like brooks defending him like brooks is a strong safety there’s no doubt that dwill is getting all kinds of beat up — yet he comes into the 4th and makes baskets.

tmac has trouble making fts in the 4th

  54. GEE..What goes up....Must come down..Not me clown! says:

lol wow you gone compare Dwill who has a whole lot of help to Tracy.

Amar that is pretty low for you and highly not the usual perception you come with. I am thinking that can’t even be the real Amar. You are better than that pimpin.

Dwill is hurt true, but he doesn’t even have to persay shoot in the 4th. Tracy HAS NO HELP. People acting like Tracy has a AK or a Okur or Boozer. Landry, Scola, Hayes… come on now.

  55. BALLZ says:

    Retarded statements of the day:
    38. “Put Tracy in Kobe’s spot on the Lakers and they’d be just as favored to win the west.”
    39. “HE IS PLAYING WITH GUYS 2 STEPS AWAY FROM YOUR LOCAL PLAYGROUND OR YMCA!”
To 38: Don’t compare Tracy to Kobe. It’s like comparing Drexler to Jordan. It’s gay. Tracy’s nice, but come on dawg.
To 39: Obviously you’ve never balled with anyone worth shit dude. Example, I balled yesterday with a cat that avg. double digits on a mid-major that won 20 games a few years back. Dude was effing killing, effing obliterating the nicest dudes at the Y. It was a joke. And keep in mind this guy didn’t even sniff the D League, let alone the L. Are BJax, Hayes, Battier, etc. straight ballers in the L? NO. But they are high-quality NBA role players who were all Americans in college on championship caliber squads. Any of them would make anybody at your local Y look straight homo, and that’s the trizuth.

  56. QQ says:

Ditto Amar. If you’re the team’s best player, you shouldn’t care bout shit like defenses, injuries, tornado, whatever, you have to fucking show up in the 4th quarter.

Unfortunately, we’re talking about TMac here. Bitch will never learn. He’ll always be soft as a pudding.

  57. Austin Burton says:

I don’t see how you can blame the guy who was responsible for more points than anyone else on the court. (T-Mac’s game-high 23 points plus 9 assists = 41 points at least, ’cause maybe some of those assists were for 3-pointers.) Where’s the blame for Luther Head, a supposed shooting specialist, not being able to hit a shot? Or Luis Scola going 4-for-11? Or no else on the Rockets having more than 2 assists? T-Mac’s the last guy who should be blamed for the loss.

  59. girlybballluver says:

Gilbert’s hand was clearly swollen last night…did anyone else see that when they zoomed in on his hand? Dude is crazy for jacking up shots like he was.
I keep watching the Cavs play and for the life of me I can’t figure out why they keep winning? Lebron is lebron…but they’re really not that good. But I guess it’s the Wiz’s fault…they’re playing like team D-League right now. Oh well.

Can’t wait for tonight’s games to start. What excuse are the suns going to come up with this series?…I think they’re going with Nash is tired.

**I love the spurs, but I can’t help but cheer whenever Grant Hill scores.**

  60. houston says:

Did yall watch the Rockets game? T-Mac did all he could. In the 4th, Utah doubled him everytime he touched the ball. What else can he do? At the end of the day, basketball is a team game. You can’t do it all by yourself.

  61. Sam I Am says:

    T-Mac def. needs Alston

  62. djKianoosh says:

    #55 was on point.

Nice to see Lebron take over and step on the Wiz’ throats like that. They need to not mess around and sweep this team if they want to be taken seriously along with Boston. Detroit on the other hand is probably talented enough to be all nonchalant with the sixers and still win. Dalembert alone will see to it that Rasheed has a huge series.

CAN’T WAIT FOR SUNS-SPURS tonight. dying over here waiting for that game.

Doug Collins I think might be my absolute favorite NBA analyst, followed closely by Hubie Brown. Those guys know so much about the game and the league. Collins was so on the money at the end of the first half it was scary. On the other hand I can’t stand the Mark Jackson/Van Gundy combo. uggghhh. please, send jackson to the knicks already. his delivery is atrocious and van gundy whines way too much (although I love his crazy ideas to improve the game and league).

looking forward to flipping between Flyers-Caps game 7, Obama-Clinton in PA, and Suns-Spurs….

  63. Sam I Am says:

    GO CAPS!!!

  64. 4real says:

Anyone else notice that every time LeBron went to the line the camaera showed his feet/shoes before panning up to see him shoot the free throws?? Think nike broke off tnt for that?

    Go Flyers.

    Retarted post of the day:

    17. “Magic said he was playin like a superstar at HALFTIME…in the playoffs you don’t ball in half numba one, then put up ONE fucking point in two fourth quarters and get the superstar tag. Shit Kyle Korver is out shinin T in the fourth. Sorry yall, but Tmac ain’t that shit. ”

To 17. Hmmm I think Magic certainly qualifies more than anyone on this board. Then again if you played in the L and did better than Magic please holla at me. His superstardom, if you will, was not defined by this game or this one quarter. Dude was already that. This is just an instance where he and his team couldn’t overcome the odds (The Jazz). It’s not so much what he didn’t or couldn’t do as it is what the Jazz did. As far as Kyle, even T-Mac admitted dude hit a crazy nice shot, but to say he is “out shinin” T then you need to be real about. Kyle has no double team and doesn’t have half of plan used for him that T has. As far as T-Mac not being ish, well be glad he is not on your favorite squad. I am enjoying him on the Rockets. So it all works out.

Oh yea and please know that Imma ride with my Rockets all day. Sleepy Floyd, Mad Max, Rober Reid, Ralph Sampson, Otis Thorpe and all. Houston up regardless!

  69. nbaroundtable says:

Tracy ran out of steam in the fourth. There were a couple of plays in the fourth were he struggled to take Matt Harpring and Kyle Korver off the dribble. That’s not the Tracy McGrady we’re used to seeing or the one we saw earlier in the game. Just ran out of gas.

He had an incredible performance up until the fourth quarter.

His teammates missed a lot of shots. Lot of perimeter shots and a lot of layups or shots inside of 5 feet. Lot of bad misses.

  70. Reed Ewing Frazier says:

djKianoosh – I agree with you on Doug Collins/Hubie Brown even though sometimes it is too much I swear Hubie is going to slip and say a player’s dick size I mean dude knows everthing(lol)the CIA needs to hire him. Please don’t wish M. Jackson on the Knicks I love him as a player but he has no coaching exp. and yeah him and Van Gundy suck they are right under Bill Walton and Todd Tolbert just horrible!!!
To everyone- Hopefully the Wiz will crank that Soulja Boy and win the next game because I still think LeBron is overated
DeShawn is going to superman dem hoes(lol)Yaah trick Yaah !! YOOOOUUUUU!!! God Bless our young rappers(lol)

Hockey takes me to when a (Hockey) team wins that has an NBA team in the same state. Then that team takes the Stanley cup to the NBA squad to try and inspire them.

That tactics coaches and teams use to get that mind edge is something else. Wow.

Didn’t Pat Riley use some weird tatic the year the Heat one. Something with a wheelbarrow I think. Anyway, I remember all the players all happy cause Pat told them the specific day they would win the championship and it happened.

  74. control says:

Reed Ewing Frazier, that you even, sarcastically or not, expressed a desire to perpetuate Soulja’s talentless career in the slightest means you are a waste of a human life. You are a fine example of why pro-choice is a good thing, too bad your mom made the wrong choice.

  75. Ian says:

sorry to the guy that said the u can swith tmac and pierce
boston would be better with tmac than pierce.

then again to the guy who compared him to wade u gotta be crazy
wade got to the second round as a rookie and won a chip with antoine walker and old shaq so pleaseeee

but ill say it again tmac is no superstar i have been sayin it for years hes really good btw.

  76. word says:

oh Skiles… “slip-and-fall at his house” my ass he was high, well good for him though I hope he has a good season.

I agree T Mac did actually try last night #60, he almost had a trip double.

  77. What is this!? says:

Damn, the Wizards need to show up if they are going to talk crazy. My god. And to think I had them beating the CAvs, SMH. I know the series doesn’t start untill a team beats the other team on their court, but the Wizards are starting to look like they might get swept.

And T-Mac is in for another 1st round exit…but folks are in here hatin’ a little too hard though. Ya’ll some bandwagon fans if I ever seen some. LMAO!

  78. daquest?on says:
