Picking an MVP this year is nearly impossible. James Harden and Russell Westbrook are stuffing stat sheets on a nightly basis, while LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard have been game-changing two-way players all year. You really can’t go wrong picking a winner, and the next few weeks are going to feature a ton of debate about who will eventually get the award.

If you think that it’s just too hard to give the award to one guy, don’t worry, Kobe Bryant is the same way. Now that he’s gotten League Pass on his cable package, Kobe is ready to offer up his insight into the MVP race. As of right now, it’s come down to two guys: Harden and Westbrook.

As for why he’s not picking one guy over the other, Kobe basically said that he isn’t going to do that because he doesn’t have to.

Both players had triple-doubles on Sunday – Harden went for 35 points, 15 assists, and 11 rebounds in Houston’s win over Sacramento, while Westbrook had one of his best performances of the year, getting a 50-point triple-double and hitting a game-winning three against the Nuggets. Harden has played out of his mind all season and has been at the center of Houston’s terrifying offense, while Westbrook averaged a triple-double, which is absurd.

The MVP race will probably come down to those two when all is said and done. As for which one ends up taking the award home, well, follow Kobe’s advice and flip a coin.
