The Hornets are Not Nervous For Game 7

IMAGE DESCRIPTIONPhoto. Mannion

There are stories all over the web today about how loose the Hornets are heading into tonight’s Game 7 against the Spurs. For the video proof, check out Best of New Orleans’ video of Byron Scott and Jannero Pargo’s “dunk contest” after practice yesterday. The blog says that this was filmed right after Scott, Pargo and Chris Paul were dunking on an 8-foot rim at half court.

Meanwhile, what do you think is going on over in the Spurs camp? We can’t picture them having fun. Ever.

If you’re pulling for New Orleans tonight, are you happy that they’re this loose, or worried that they’re not mentally ready for what they’re about to face?

I don’t know about the Hornets being ready, but I know the Spurs are. “Been there, Done that”

It’s good that they are this loose. They don’t need to be over-tense for the game. Enjoy all time before the game cause once the ball tips, seriousness and focus will kick in automatically. Shoooot even before the ball tips, more-than-likely when they step on the court.

So all before that enjoy yourself and be silly and loose as you can.

Man I wish the camera man would’ve caught Pargo spazzing on that dunk.

they had a similar story right before the series started on how they were all loose and then they proceeded to pound on the spurs in games 1 and 2.

teams just get ready in different ways. i’m sure the spurs have “some” fun every once in a while.

thing is, hornets have already had a great playoff run. Spurs “expect” to play for the title. Much more pressure there.

    CANT WAIT FOR TONIGHTS GAME!

well the hornets have less to lose, the spurs have been the team to beat for years and the hornets have been the “cinderella” team.

now on the other hand, the hornets better be sweating more thne playing.
this reminds me of g karl playing his little mosh pit antics before the game in the denver/lakers series.

keep playing and the hornets will have the rest of the summer to clown around.

    gonna be a great game

hmmm….spurs not so boring to watch anymore?

  7. yallallreadyknow says:

spurs are boring as all hell. if frenchy’s wife aint around to ’spur’ things up…they suck. worse winning team in sports history to watch. ugh.

heres to hoping nawlins gets the win….

  8. Keith says:

Loose is good for offense, not for defense. If both teams still have a chance to win with 2 minutes left then it will have lived up to the drama.

I’m looking forward to the adjustments for this game. Less doubling on Timmy? Will Bowen guard CP3 in crunch time?
