Boston was at its best tonight when the three stars, as well as everyone else, shared the ball and found all the holes in the Detroit defense. They had 25 assists as a team, with Rajon Rondo racking up 13. And when the Celtics almost let the game slip away at the end, it was because their ball movement all of a sudden went south.
Why the Pistons lost: Rebounding, or lack thereof. The fact that the announcers felt the need to bring up the NBA’s all-time record for rebounds in a playoff game while discussing Kendrick Perkins lets you know how bad it was. Through the first three quarters, Perkins had 16 boards, while Detroit as a team had 18. In a game that ended up coming down to just a few possessions, those rebounds become all the more critical.

I’d prefer the Pistons to take this series, because I think it’d be easier for the Lakers to win a game at the Palace than a Finals game at the Garden. But even if they are down 3-2, the Pistons look like the slightly better team, in my opinion. They just don’t play with the same intensity for 48 minutes, which is why they’re gonna lose in the conference finals again. Still, Billups had his first good game of the series, and he looked alive in the 4th. So maybe Detroit can pull it out.
Timmy, who wouldn’t get that joke? Even Mike Breen and JVG got it, I think most of America knows who Beyonce is.

…AND still the game was 100-99 with seconds left to play.
Detroit had NO timeouts and rip ham was on the bench with his elbow looking like a hurt player on nba live…
..AND yet…the Celts still couldnt put the Pistons away
kp43 (that shit is stupid btw) aint gonna give you 18pts and 16 rebs in detroit. rondo aint gonna get 13asts on the road. and ray may never hit another 3pt shot.
look for this series to go the full 7 (as expected by everyone)

I DESPISE games not on TNT. Terrible ass announcers, HORRIBLE half time show (with a 3 year old segment on RIP’s mask, who cares??? Its been years since he started doing that, we all know by now). I need Charles and Greg to talk because they know what they’re talkin about, and at least if I don’t agree with their opinions they still make me laugh. Mark Jackson is TERRIBLE as an announcer!! And Mike Breen is ass too. Van Gundy is comical cuz he’s such a dweeb. No more Stu Scott!!! Pleeeeeease!
