Celtics / Pistons Game 4 Halftime Notes
* Boston started off the game looking painfully slow and not ready to play. If you do that in the NBA Playoffs on the road, you will get buried. The Celtics quickly found themselves down 10 and have been trying to claw their way back in ever since. Somehow, they’re only down four at the half.
* Know your opponent. The only players on the Pistons who will take you to the cup are Chauncey, Tayshaun and occasionally Rip. Antonio McDyess will never drive it from the wing to the rim. There is no reason for the Celtics bigs to not be up on him to defend the jump shot.
* Where are the Big 3 for Boston? They’ve combined for the most quiet 20 points we’ve ever seen, and most of their points are from the foul line.
* Boston needs to make shots. They are generating hardly any points from the field and almost none from the perimeter.
* The Pistons need to go for the throat. The fact that Boston is in this game right now is unacceptable. If we’re Flip, we lay into this team in the locker room right now.
