It’s called hybrid vigor and it is true that the more mixing of the gene pool the better. Think about a mule, the strength and pound for pound power of a donkey put into the size of horse. Of course there ain’t no breeds with humans, just artificially created races, but the larger the gene pool is that created the two strands of chromosomes that make a embryo the more likely the dominate traits will be selected. For a specialty breeding program, like say for a tall dude that can jump, the less helpful a large gene pool is. To creat the ultimate person, i.e. disease resistant, smart, strong all around good traits, a larger gene pool would be desirable. I think that when it comes to people selecting mates the bigger the gene pool in the individual the more likely they are going to be attractive, because attraction is just an extension of our biological imperative to spawn.

Plus mixed ethnicity chicks just rock.
