The Bulls Are Going to Take Beasley
Photo. Chad GriffithSo says Memphis’ Joey Dorsey, who’s at the Pre-Draft camp in Orlando. How does Dorsey know the Bulls’ plans? He says he has inside info.
That would leave Derrick Rose for the Miami Heat – a win-win situation for both teams no matter how it plays out.

I’d rather have Rose but we can’t go wrong either way although I think Rose has a better feel for leading a team

i say the bulls draft beasly and either trade kirk for someone like andre miller or tj ford and pic ooorrrr just take a shot at ty lawson or some lesser pg with the second round pic.

Chuck...Haters come in all fashions and forms so bear arms says:
I think Joey Dorsey needs to focus on getting drafted himself and not worry about the 2 picks who are already locks in the draft.

what the hell sense does it make for the bulls to draft beasley AND trade hinrich for andre miller when they could just draft derrick rose?
why settle for 31yr old slow ass andre miller when you can draft derrick rose from the jump?

the boy says:
i hate how everyone in chicago says we should take rose. thats the stupidest idea ever from a bball standpoint. we have guards out the ass and have been looking and dying to get a low post scorer for the past 5 years and have failed horribly every single year, curry chandler tyrus noah wallace and now we have it fall right in our lap and every wants us to pass it up. Beasley #1 without question, he is a taller and lefty charles barkley.

evan says:
@The Boy : I really can’t critique your stance on needing a low post scorer and having a big number of guards available. Thing about those guards is none of them are Rose or had the college career/NBA potential to be a #1 overall pick. First thing they need to do is address Hinrich/Gordon/Duhon and then start making draft moves. The question is whether the new team is built around Beasley or if he is just the last piece in the current setup…

@yallalreadyknow
why not kill 2 birds with one stone. you draft beasley u get the low post scorer and rebounder needed and u still got an option at getting a quality guard.
if u draft rose there is not guarantee of getting such a pure frontcourt scorer that beasley is. yes rose maybe the better player down the road but beasley is a better fit on this team with the players they have.

chicago dont want no low post presence. they had chances at jermaine o’neal and said no. they had a chance with zach randolph and said no. they had a chance for pau gasol and said no. ….shit, they could have had kobe bryant and said no.
they dumb over there in chitown. paxson is scared to make a trade. how many bigs yall gonna draft? time to make good in the backcourt. draft rose.
bigs who give you a double double are a dime a dozen….classic point guards are not.
they wouldn’t be wrong to draft beasley….just not the smart move for them

B-easy better choice. You don’t know about Noah especially with him smoking the weedy weed and you have more of a need frontcourt than back.

The Heat get a top 2 pick and a full year w/ Wade and Marion, barring injuries? There’s no way that team doesn’t make the playoffs.

ratattack says:
It was probably Rose who gave his buddy Dorsey the “inside” info. He wants to throw oops to Wade and Marion, rather than be stuck playing with Luol Deng and Ben Gordon.

daquest?on a.k.a Heavy Artillery says:
i saw in a mock draft that beasley is closer to 6-7 than 6-10, if hes that short(for a power foward) wont he have trouble getting his shot off agaisnt nba bigs?? are the bulls willing to take that gamble?

K Dizzle - Pasadena - Laker fan since 1982 says:
no way is Beasley under 6′9. Dude got at least 3 inches on Bill Walker and Walker’s at least 6′6.
Either way, this is how gms get fired. It’s a can’t miss draft for 1 and 2, but the Bulls need an inside scorer and Paxson’s startin to look foolish for keepin dudes that don’t wanna be there. As a Laker fan, I appreciate them for refusin to part with Luol Deng so Kupchak could save Kobe from himself.
Mike Beaz had the best season in a minute. He put up 40 and 20 more than once, he called his shot against Kansas then backed it. Now heads wanna punish dude for goin to a small school and cuz Rose had a great 2 weeks on a championship contender during the ncaas. If Beasley had gone to Memphis, Kansas, UCLA or UNC, 1st overall would not even be a discussion

What up, Pasadena! Find me in Old Town, at the Yardhouse, or clubbin at Menage, or Wokcano, or Barney’s. Cops there are bitches, though.
Beasley seems to be the most talented player available, and he’d be addressing a need for the Bulls. So why wouldn’t they draft him? Seriously, are his character issues THAT bad? Can’t be worse than Joakim as of yesterday, right?
It’s retarded how teams w/ the first pick play dumb about their choice. It’s the first pick! What are other teams gonna do, steal your player?
The last time Bulls drafted #1, they picked an “undersized” (so they claimed back then) PF named Elton Brand, who they gave up on too early. Then they drafted Marcus Fizer, Eddy Curry/Tyson Chandler, Aaron Gray, etc. They’re gonna draft all those busts/projects in the name of size, and they won’t take a sure thing? What gives?

Gee weed dont got shit to do with your game.Damn near the whole league blow occasionally.Cut that BS out.I’d take rose but if they get Beasley he’ll be good.Im just mad the Sixers aint in on this convo. And Bron we aint taking no Kirk Hinrich on our team can that idea.

Kobeef says:
I’m not totally convinced Rose is an NBA quality playmaker so why take the risk that you are going to go backwards in terms of primary PG skills (outside shooting and playmaking) cause Hinrich is a playmaker and may be a better outside shooter at almost 40% for his career.
B’easy is T-Mac in Amare’s body.
I actually think that Miami is trying some reverse psychology by saying they want Rose. I think the truth is that Pat Riley is killing to get B’easy and Wade together and is hoping that Paxson falls for the smoke screen.

doc it has a lot to do with your game when you are getting caught with it and in trouble? This ain’t Canada homey lol. You already see he ain’t smart enough to know how to hide it. Say no to drugs pimpin lol.

DaPro says:
Rose is actually the better fit for Chi-town
Ya’ll looking at it 1 sided
Scoring in the post is cool but scoring off easy buckets in transition and putting constant pressure on the D by lane penetration is another way to get points
This is what Rose can do, he is an NBA ready pg who can change the pace of the game
We have defenders and we’re already a half court team we need a change of pace guard who can dictate the tempo of the game
Again I like Beas but to me Rose is the better player for the Bulls needs
We had chances to get low post scorers and that shit didn’t work out

Arrogant says:
they need to get rose and get rid a few of the guards via trade…. if they get rose he will be able to set up the inside players….. for example tyson chandler aint nuthing but defense and rebounds but he gets 12 points a game cause paul sets him up… tyrus thomas can take that role… duhon is not coming back but the whole hughes hinirich gordon and sefolosha thing needs to be addressed… none of them are a better floor leader and thats what they need… thats y they were horrible last year…

BlazeMcHerbs says:
Beasley always made sens to me for Chicago. I understand Rose is going to be outstanding, but a big who bangs and scores is almost priceless.
Hinrich, Hughes, Deng, Beasley, Noah.
Duhon, Gordon, Nocioni, Thomas, Gray.
Looks like a pretty sick 10 to me…
And it gives room to move around some players. I would use Gordon and Hinrich to shop for vets.
