Jay-Z reppin’ Jersey at the Lottery
Jay’s looking to get help for Vince.Earlier today we got word from the NBA that none other than Jay-Z will be in attendance at tomorrow’s Lottery proceedings. We’d assume Jay will be there to sit in the Nets seat and give them a little luck. Maybe they’ll end up in a position to draft O.J. Mayo…who is boys with LeBron from his days in Ohio…ah, you know where this is going.
The Dime crew will also be in the building for the Lottery, so we’ll let you know what happens behind-the-scenes.

Nice move from NJ. It will be a nice change from the usual “debate club” look of the lottery.
Has it ever happened that the owner is the coolest person associated with the team? It is weird but NJ is franchise that fans dig again and it has little to do with the players.

Let’s take a guess for who’s gonna rep each team:
Bobcats — One of Larry Brown’s assistants
Bulls — Random front office person
Warriors — Chris Mullin
Pacers — Larry Bird
Clippers — Elton Brand or Mike Dunleavy Sr
Heat — Dwyane Wade
Bucks — Scott Skiles
T’Wolves — Randy Wittman
Nets — Jay-Z
Knicks — Mike D’Antoni
Blazers — Greg Oden
Kings — Reggie Theus
Grizzlies — Rudy Gay
Sonics — Kevin Durant or Sam Presti (GM)

One issue with that list AB, if I’m the Blazers, I’m leaving Oden at home and sending Brandon Roy. It worked pretty well last year…

Austin Burton says:
True, but it seems they’re trying to get Oden out there in the public as much as possible so we don’t forget about him.

Skiles : Will look pissed or constipated as usual.
Theus : Needs to bring the cast of Hang Time with him.
Bulls : Need to send Noah.
Bobcats : Won’t send Jordan who would make the Skiles face if he didn’t get #1 or #2. Send Morrison.
Chappelle should host.

Seriously?
David Stern hasn’t prevented this from happening? He’s going to allow a rapper NEAR an official NBA function?

He does it all the time. Regular season and playoff games, the All-Star Game, etc.
