the LA Gear Catapults. Those were the first Karl Malone shoes, the second ones had the lights in them. I actually had the first ones. They were so heavy.

for the record, the guys on the jazz wear them with the black part being dark blue. maybe that’s why barkley is always saying good things about the jazz, their entire starting front court wears his sneaks?

and nike wouldn’t make a karl malone shoe, he was with LA gear back in the day, i’m sure there are enough of his signiture shoes still around in the original first manufactured run in boxes somewhere. (seriously, LA gear tried hard man, they had Kareem, Karl Malone and Hakeem for a bit, then those last two guys went on to other shoe companies)

Hey…I like ‘em! I know what y’all are saying, but I’m not looking at them like the ol’ skool shoes. I’m looking at them as some new joints… Besides, I like stuff that everyone isn’t on. I can’t even wear the Jordan fusions…as hard as they are, EVERYBODY got ‘em!
