Stackhouse = American Idol
I was looking for a clip of Jerry Stackhouse’s famous dunk against Duke when I found THIS. Notice how it seems none of the Mavericks knew Stack was gonna get on the mic, and while Dirk was able to stifle a laugh, Josh Howard couldn’t help it. Can you imagine if before Celtics/Pistons tonight, Leon Powe stepped out of the line and started singing?

Damon….that was a perfect analysis of Dirk, he was also probably thinking about what he was going to say to Stack after the song and was trying not to crack himself up.
Was Avery trying to ignore the fact that one of his players was singing? I can’t imagine a coach would be too happy about his guy busting out the national anthem 2 minutes before a game.

how about the time Mo Cheeks had to tell the girl the words to the song, during the song. Actually the only time I’ve seen Cheeks tell someone on the floor what to do and it worked. kidding.

I wish I could find a video or audio clip of it, but one time in Seattle years back, the choir from Vin Baker’s church in Connecticut or wherever he’s from sang at a Sonics game. They were good, but then Vin’s dad (the choir director, I believe) got a solo, and he proceeded to outdo Carl Lewis on the awful-o-meter.
