Before this season my two favorite players were RayRay and KG (no joke). And after they were traded I thought it was great, and I thought that the Celtics were going to be my new favorite team to watch. Then I watched a few games, and it just wasn’t the same. And the more I watched, the more disappointed I was that they were traded. Sure they were winning games, but they just weren’t as fun to watch anymore.

It’s similar to the whole “Not your team” article. Instead of being The Man on their respective teams, they became very-very good role players – capable of taking over the game on any given night, but role players nonetheless.

As the playoffs rolled on, it came to the point where I realized I wanted the Celtics to lose, only because I didn’t want KG and RayRay to end up winning this way. They both deserved better than this in my opinion. For them to win this way felt like a veteran signing on for the minimum just to win a chip.

Sure they won, but it’s just not the same.

Nice. I must admit, in a postseason filled with depressing developments that have shaken the faith of the NBA’s faithful, seeing those guys get theirs, and add to the Boston legacy, was nice.

Even though I am anti-Boston (being in NY), this commercial gave me the chills and was very well slotted after the C’s won.

I do love the Nike Training commercials with the good beats.
